Rice beats the LB and on a perfect ball by Flacco, Rice catches a td :towel:10 yd TD run by Rice :towel:
Will it? need it BADWill it stand?
Yes. Td.Will it stand?
To be fair, Flacco has been doing his best Mark Sanchez impression and checking everything down. How many milk cartons will Boldin appear on next week?![]()
Ridiculous refereeing here. Ravens are throwing punches. Housh kicks the CB. And they come back and get the Saints? Awful.
I was at the game and was surprised to see how thuggish the Saints behaved all day. I had bought into their image as the loveable underdog team helping rebuild a city, etc. The reality is that they were a very cheap, trash-talking team. A few examples - Graham's behavior after both his TDs: first flexing to the crowd and dropping MFers everywhere, and then on the second taunting in Ray Lewis's face. The late hit on Flacco (uncalled) where the DT kneed him in the back after he was lying on the ground. The guy from the kick return team actually getting into the Ravens' huddle on the sideline - again, you couldn't see this on TV, they came back from a commercial and there was a big scrum - all caused by a Saints player walking into the Ravens' sideline huddle, which you never see. Smith was doing that crap where he'd stand over a fallen offensive lineman and not let him get up after the play all day. It finally blew up on him - wouldn't surprise me if the refs had previously issued him a warning, because it had been pretty blatant.I think maybe they were fired up to show how tough they were and that they could compete in the cold vs. a physical AFC opponent. They would have been better served to do that by holding the Ravens under 200 rushing yards, or by rushing for more than 40 yards themselves, than by trashtalking and cheap-shotting. I thought the Ravens pretty much dominated, and that the Saints stayed in the game thanks to the miracle tipped TD catch and a couple of lucky bounces on Brees fumbles.Ridiculous refereeing here. the saints defense is predicated on aggressive, punishing play. just remember what they did to kurt warner and favre last year during the playoffs for evidence. gregg williams wants the player to come after you and, while that's great against most teams, it doesn't work against a team like baltimore with a good line and a good RB like rice. i credit the ravens for a good gameplan and players, like rice, stepping up. the saints gameplan on both sides was clearly lacking. that said, ravens fans taking issue with the saints being aggressive, cheap shots and trash talking is almost comical.[i think maybe they were fired up to show how tough they were and that they could compete in the cold vs. a physical AFC opponent.
