Game Thread W15 - Kansas City V St.Louis (1 Viewer)

Pre-game announcers stated that Cassel will be starting. Expect a high dose of Charles today, as he could feast on a Rams defense that allows way too many yards per carry and big plays.

Rams drove efficiently down to the the 9, then a pair of false start penalties push them into a failed 3rd and long. Settle for a field goal.

Bradford is awesome at dinking and dunking, but as soon as it was 3rd-and-11 I knew the Chiefs would finally be able to do something. Even if the pass was completed, 6 yards isn't going to get it done.

The Chiefs are 100% out of sync. The Cassel injury completed derailed their season. They can't even execute a little reverse action play.

Dockery atones for his drive-extending illegal contact by intercepting a pass thrown by Cassel into quadruple coverage...

right...that means they'll feed Jones 15 times for 25 yds....booyah.

My bad. I thought for sure they'd come out, take advantage of the Rams' pass rush and lack of linebacker speed, and get Charles established.

I don't care if you saw the guy was covered and threw it at his feet, Sam, you had another person wide open six yards deeper.

 Forget it, then.
I know, easier to see on TV than on the field, just hate to see missed opportunities. The next play he had Fells open in the right flat, never looked his way and got sacked.
I think what The Jacket was getting at is that it doesn't matter how open a Rams receiver is. If he is more than five yards downfield, he is not getting the ball.

Touchdown Chiefs, little floater to Pope over the heads of three Rams defenders that didn't seem to think the TE needed covering.

Rams have been their own worst enemy, but that might-have-been-PI and uncalled block-in-the-back sure don't help. They need to find a way to get past it.
