Every week there's one of these threads. I thought you people were sharks.
First off, these are the early rankings, without tweaks.
Second,
what does it matter what Brees' numerical ranking is???. I've yet to have one person even try to explain what the OP is thinking in these threads. It's completely illogical. Rankings are
completely irrelevant. THEY DON'T MATTER. Do you get points based on where a guy finishes in the top-10 or something? Because if you don't, RANKINGS DON'T MATTER.
Look at the projections instead, people. 1 extra fantasy point would put him in the top 5. 1 less fantasy point by a QB or 2 above him would put him near the top. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? You expect these projections to be right, down to a decimal point? Brees only has to outperform the estimate by less than
5% to be where you want, or someone above him only has to score 96% of the projection to drop below him.
What makes Brees top 3 this week? Just because he's Brees he's automatically the third-best QB every week, regardless of matchup, guaranteed? DOWN TO THE DECIMAL POINT? Really?
Sharks indeed. Starting threads about decimal points. Like anyone can project that on a Tuesday, or even 10 minutes before gametime, with enough accuracy to rank the players right.
