Sanchez was just a different QB in the playoffs last year. My money (and my heart) are against him repeating the performance.

I think Flacco will continue to get exposed against top teams in the playoffs.

Hmmm....that's interesting. Not nearly the desparity everyone assumes. And that includes when Brady had Moss. Just saying. [/hijack]

Well, it's limited to the last 5 seasons, so it kind of misses out on Brady's best years. The rest of their resumes:Manning, 3-5, 89.1 Brady, 9-0, 88.9

Hmmm...really?So your point was that even in Brady's best years, Manning's QB rating in post season was better?Interesting.:fishing:Actually, here are their totals:Brady 18 games 395/637, 4108 yds, 28 TDs, 15 INTs, QB Rating 85.5Manning 18 games 435/692, 5164 yds, 28 TDs, 19 INTs, QB Rating 87.6So Manning has a few more INTs and yet still has a better overall QB rating in the post season. I think there are quite a few poeple that would be suprised to see these numbers.

I just noticed that the higher rated QB (counting Cassel as a zero with no playoff games) covered the spread 3 out of 4 games.

Update?

So this weekend, we have

I forgot that Cutler has never been in a playoff game.

yep, neither one is that impressive really when compared to a guy like Montana who they both often get compared too every time they get a whiff of the Super Bowl.I think Brady does hold an edge in many peoples minds over Manning no matter the numbers as the perception has been when the chips are truly down- Brady has elevated his play to help his team pull out a victory while Manning hasn't. Not saying that is true, as a clutch fg kicker can make people think that, but I think thats the perception.

Joe Flacco 3-2 46.5
Its amazing that the Ravens are over .500 with Flacco playing that awful, I have a feeling against the Steelers, he'll look closer to those numbers than what he did against KC.
Odder still is that if the Ravens win this week, Flacco will set the all time playoff record for most road wins by a QB with 5. Hard to imagine him being in position to set the record after just 3 seasons. After last week his post season QB rating jumped up to 61.7. I will try to update the list to reflect the recent games later today.

Aaron Rodgers 1-1 121.8

Drew Brees 4-2 102.1

Michael Vick 0-1 95.1

Peyton Manning 6-5 87.9

Matt Hasselbeck 5-3 84.1

Mark Sanchez 3-1 83.2

Joe Flacco 4-2 61.7

Matt Cassel 0-1 20.4

So UPDATED this weekend, we have Aaron Rodgers 1-1 121.8 vs. Home Favorite Matt Ryan 0-1 72.8 Joe Flacco 4-2 61.7 vs. Home Favorite Ben Roethlisberger 7-1 93.5Mark Sanchez 3-1 83.2 vs. Home Favorite Tom Brady 5-4 82.4Matt Hasselbeck 5-3 81.1 vs. Home Favorite Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler 1-0 111.3

Aaron Rodgers 2-1 129.4

Mark Sanchez 4-1 92.2

Ben Roethlisberger 8-1 94.5

If the Jets win, Sanchez will set the all time record for QBs for most road victories in the post season . . . IN HIS SECOND SEASON.

LOL, what sucks for Hanie, I don't really consider the 2nd INT his fault. It was 4th down and he HAD to throw the ball up with nobody open. Great coverage by GB. Can we count him as 1 TD - 1 INT? LOL.
