***Divisional Round Game Thread*** Baltimore at Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Just got back from the ABC store. I had a VA state employee boo me as I walked in wearing a Ravens shirt. She said her husband hasn't even been to bed - he was up all night painting his face Stillers' colors.

CB Chris Carr and C Matt Birk both active for the Ravens. That's pretty huge. I thought Birk would be o.k. until they activated a G/C from the practice squad yesterday - made me very nervous.

Carr has been outstanding as the nickel CB but pulled his hammy in practice this week. He was a game-time decision, so I guess he's o.k. to go. Still kind of worried about what might happen to him covering Wallace in the slot, though.

Ravens inactives:

WR/KR David Reed

DL Arthur Jones

DL Lamar Divens

S Tom Zbikowski

TE Davon Drew

TE Dennis Pitta

OG Bryan Mattison

LB Jason Phillips

Ray Rice is all set to go.

Steelers inactives:

DE Aaron Smith

DE Steve McLendon

CB Crezdon Butler

OL Tony Hillis

OL Chris Scott

RB Jonathan Dwyer

LB Jason Worilds

QB Charlie Batch (3rd QB)

What a strange game this will be for me. I despise the Steelers and have 2 steelers on my ff playoff squad and no ravens. Ravens are way overrated imo, GO STEELERS!!! :lmao:

With the fedora, orange scarf, overly made-up lips and eerie rictus on her face, Lesley Visser looks scarily like the Joker.

Hey DOlphins fans...take a look at the game...see that crowd? That's called a home field advantage.

Our fans are friggin lame down here.

This game is going to be sick.

This shoud be a great game. This is the biggest game in Flacco's career, I'm not sure he's good enough to win in Pittsburgh.

Wild way to start a game, either way good field position for Baltimore, every point in this game should be meaningful.

Elbow is down.

The regular season is fine and dandy, but both of these teams fully expected to be right here at this time of year.

This is the reason the Ravens went out and got Anquan Bolden. Something tells me he has a say who wins this game. If he doesn't, I think we see Pittsburgh take this game over and you'd wonder what's the difference of having Bolden or not out there for the Ravens.

I'm not sure I'd waste a challenge on that if I were Tomlin. And nice tackle by Suisham.
Yep, bad challenge. Now if they challenge and lose, they out of challenge's. Was not worth 14 yards.
They punted around the 40 yard line of Pittsburgh. If they didn't have that 14 yards, they most likely wouldn't have kicked a field goal. That challenge was worth 3 points for Pittsburgh.

blatant pass interference against Heap. I mean, what good are the rules if you just don't make a call in the playoffs?

well maybe not, they got 20 yards from the challenge. it was 3 and 7 from the 39 yard line. if it would not have been challenged it would be on the 19 yard line. One can say it saved them 3 points.

That was a HORRIBLE call. Ward stuck with his block and REED gets mad at him for it so he flings him to the ground and Ward gets a personal foul? Crazy man, crazy.

'The team that commits the least amount of turnovers will win today."

How many years of analyzing and studying football do you need to come up with this phenomenal commentating?

Not a good sign for the Ravens to let Pittsburgh score a TD on their first drive.

Flacco needs to answer with at least a couple 1st downs here or he may find himself in a blackhole very early on in this game.

Good start offensively for the Ravens, protected Flacco and moved the ball. But all the defensive shortcomings exposed - limited pass rush, Ray getting a little old on the run D, and Wallace presenting huge matchup problems.

Plus, refs.

Steeler fans, if you ever wonder why people dismiss your team because they get all the calls....these last two drives were a pretty good indication of why.
