Hey Guys,
We're shooting for mid to later August. Part of what makes the contest challenging is having really good salary numbers for you guys to work with and we want to make sure we get those dialed in to make it as difficult as possible for you. Hope to get it earlier but it's definitely something we won't rush to throw out there just to have it if it's not fully ready.
And for what it's worth, I think our contest is the most underrated thing we do. It's worth the cost of the Insider Subscription just for the contest. But it's our way of saying thanks to the folks that subscribe. And a nice perk.

Cool, was just curious. Won't hold anyone to any specific date.Just didn't see anything posted here, and thought it was getting to be that time of year again.I actually would be curious as to how many subscriptions would be lost, if the contest was done away with.I would guess a LOT of people pay mainly for the contest.Thanks again, looking forward to it

I think a lot of subscribers would be lost if the contest was done away with. I think it's one of biggest lures to subscribing, and therefore it's not underrated.

Cool. This allows me to get some work done for the next few weeks before it starts.
Yes the contest alone is worth the price of the subscription. I almost look forward to seeing the results every week at much as I do in my main league. It is a great intro to best ball leagues if anyone has never participated in one before.

It's the ONLY reason I subscribe year after year. I think your are understating (or misinterpreting) what this contest does for FBG's bottom line. All those thousands of pages of content you provide - that's a perk.

I've thought about doing this and giving my mom an entry in this fashion (she has no innernets). Actually might see her in late August, so it's possible I'll do it this year.-QG

Probaly will have xxx amount to spend on xx-xx number of players who have prices relative to their supposed fantasy value. Qb Rb Wr Te Pk Td will likely be positions to choose and score from. Best ball. Every position counts. Who you pick is who you are stuck with until eliminated. Contestants cut every week until the final 3-4 weeks when about 2% remain.
Just have to wait and see the rules and details.

I did that two years ago and made it to the playoff round (didn't win anything). Every other year, I've been done by about week 4.

It would be a much better contest if you waited. That said, I understand that quality of the contest comes secondary to the business considerations of having it rolling sooner.
I hear you, bass. It's a balance. It feels like early - mid August is about right to us.J
