Peyton Hillis OUT for Week 3 (1 Viewer)

saw this on Rotoworld sooooo

According to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal, Peyton Hillis (questionable, illness) "did not look well at all" when spotted near the locker room at Browns Stadium Sunday morning.

"Strep throat will do that," added Ulrich. It's concerning because Hillis' illness could affect his workload and endurance against a Dolphins defense that can stop the run. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that the Browns are "counting" on having Hillis play Sunday. The inactives will be announced in less than an hour. Montario Hardesty is next on the depth chart.

Is there anyone else on the Browns roster that might factor in here? Or will they run Hardesty into the ground?

I'm going with Ingram over Hardesty as my RB3. Damn tempted to start Hardesty but I like the matchup for Ingram today.

With Arian Foster nursing his hammy, Hardesty is in as my RB2. The phins haven't been terrible but aren't stout either at run D.

I had some dead weight on my roster, so I added Hardesty without thinking twice. Is he a decent start today?

Wally Pip? Sure hope so since I lost Charles last week and my only alternative is McGahee. Sometimes you just hate this game.

Go Montario

Hardesty sure is high on the cheat sheets this week. I don't see it against MIami. The Dolphins are better than they looked against 2 playoff teams. I understand folks having to start him but I wouldn't have him in the top20 let alone top10.

As a CLE fan, good luck to all those starting Hardesty. He just has not looked that great in his limited work so far this season. I don't think the Browns do well at all today...

Man, my one team that has him already lost Jamaal Charles last week, now this....gotta roll with Hardesty and JStew now. And to think I considered RB a strong suit for my team a few weeks ago. :wall:

Now I have to choose between Hardesty and a hamstring issue with Beanie Wells, but Beanie doesn't play until the late game. I guess I'm rolling with Hardesty in case Beanie is out as well.

anyone have thoughts on making a preemptive Greg Little pick up in shallow leagues where he's not yet owned? seems like a good day for him to produce.

Vontae Davis is OUT for Miami and that' definitely a plus for Little and probably Evan Moore. I think Massaquoi has been gimpy during the week too.

:hot:

Love having to replace a guy for this kind of thing.

Oh well....now I HAVE to choose between starting either D-Moore or Greg Little....already decided to start Decker.

Hardesty just cleared waivers this morning. Grabbing him and going with him in a dire, injury-riddled week. I'm not a huge Hardesty fan, but the Fins' rush defense isn't exactly threatening. Shurmur clearly views Hardesty as his second-best back, and let's hope something comes of that...
