This will be pinned once we're underway.

Please help everyone out by starting what you see from this game ie instead of "WOW", how about "WOW Arian Foster just busted a 50 yarder right through the middle", anything that helps out fantasy owners not watching the game.

Also please try and focus discussion on the game at hand.

 
I think today is going to be the telling tail of this team. Are we headed in the right direction? Or is this the same team we've grown

accustomed to?

 
That was a designed running play. Surely a lineman was downfield and throwing that past the LoS mean it should have been illegal man downfield, right?

EDIT: Yep, replay clearly shows multiple linemen well past the LoS. Why no penalty?

That roughing the passer penalty was called because of Vick complaining about late hits the other week. No other explanation.

Doesn't have to be out of the pocket if he gets it back to the line of scrimmage.It was a good call.

You have to be out of the pocket AND get the ball past the LoS to avoid grounding. It's both, not either. If you are in the pocket and get it past the LoS it's still grounding. If you are out of the pocket and don't get it past the LoS it's still grounding.

Ummmmmmm...no. You have to out of pocket AND get it back to LOS to avboid grounding call. The gift was the penalty...not the non-call for grounding.

I mis spoke on the IG. But the right call was made. It wasn't IG and that was helmet to helmet.
 
why is it that the Eagles offensive plays always look so unique? almost every play they run has their own prints on it - handoff, inside draw, slip screen, shuffle pass, etc.

e.g. that TD pass to Celek was a thing of beauty with the offensive linemen blocking upfield, not down.

Some combo of Reid's play calling, Vick, and Vick being left handed?

They look good when they work. But I have seen way to many plays that are to cute for there own good. I think it's Reid's doing.
 
I know it's early in the game but I like the flow for the Eagles. Nice mix of run and pass and the line is doing well.
