Game Thread W6 - Houston V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Hola, muchachos. Good luck today, Texan fans. I know you guys are shorthanded and so expect the Ravens to win if crackhead Flacco doesn't show up. My guess is 31-13 Ravens.

Texans converted 3 3rd-and-longs before punting. Foster had a nice screen-and-run. Ravens ball on about the 3.

How was that not intentional grounding on Flacco? In the pocket, no receiver near and the ball didn't make it close to the LOS.

Antonio Smith with a second personal foul. Ravens with their 4th play now inside the 1. Flacco keeper for a TD.

If Houston keeps getting themselves into 3rd and long against the I-smell-blood Ravens D, they may have issues. They've dug out of that hole a few times, but I think they may be playing with fire.

Without anyone who can stretch the field or demand a double team, I think they'll be seeing a lot of third and long all day.

I was just typing that the last two games, Schaub has been short so much throwing to Jacoby Jones that I wonder if he's running his routes the right depth. Then the announcer comments that it looked like Schaub was expecting the route to be shorter.

And he said if even Jones ran it shorter wouldn't be enough for a 1st down anyway.

HOU defense is looking great so far and BALT defense isn't looking as dominate as they were vs Jets

Great run blocking there. Meyer got to the second level and got on Ray Lewis.

Oops, Brisiel.

Mixing Foster and Tate - except for fumble in endzone, Tate is looking good as well as Foster vs. BALT

Announcers mentioned Ward may also get carries

Tate didn't actually get goal line carries, they were red zone though. he got it up to about the 2 or so and fumbled it into the end zone.

Flacco is getting hit a lot today. And that sack was on Leach I think, didn't slow down Barwin enough before releasing.

Houston is a really good football team, both offensively and defensively. Even moreso given that theyre missing their top two players.

Tell you what, it's really nice to see so far the HOU defense really stepping it up and taking it to Flacco

I expected the Ravens would be up by more than 3 at the half. They aren't moving the ball as well as I would have thought. Their rushing game hasn't gotten going at all. Rice's first two carries went for 6 yards each and after that, 6 more carries for a total of 4 yards. Fantasy wise though still doing well with 49 receiving yards.

Jacoby Jones touchdown against Ed Reed. Matt Schaub may have twisted his ankle a bit on the play before but still made the pass.

Owen Daniels took 4 Ravens with him in coverage on the touchdown, leaving just Ed Reed on Jacoby.

Made up for it getting the ball deep to Jacoby Jones and protecting him from the big hit with a low throw.

Whatever happened to the coffin corner? It's shameful to punt the ball into the end zone from their side of the field.

For the review, does his second foot ever hit the ground or does it bounce off the receiver's shoe.
be honest - how many of you knew that rule?
I meant the defender's foot. It looked as he tries to drag his foot he gets kicked upwards before it hit the ground and it carries out of bounds. I knew of the two feet and the "pushed out" no longer matters, but I am still shuked about the "both feet vs two feet" in the San Fran game.
