Week 8 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

At the moment I have Brees vs. Newton, Colston vs. Harvin, AP vs. Reggie Bush, and Giants DST vs. Texans DST and I'm losing by about 35 points.

There is a perfect storm of anti-me brewing this Sunday!

Everyone said to bench Beanie this week, and everyone said that, despite his poor showing, this would be a breakout week for Chris Johnson.

So CJ is starting for me, and Beanie is on my bench...

Watching Ringer catch all those passes in my PPR league is pissing me off... When CJ comes in they dont throw it to him.

Gresham goes from probable to inactive when there's absolutely no news suggesting he wouldn't play (rosters locked), after dealing with Lynch in multiple leagues last week. Come on...

Left Bush on the bench in my PPR league. 15 points right now

Granted, I have Murray starting over him so I don't know what will happen. But I guess at least I can use him as trade bait hopefully.

OK, I know it is only kicker, but Kasay is shutout going into the 4th?

Man, the Saints really are a different team on the road. I feel for you Brees, Thomas, Colston, Sproles, Graham, etc. owners out there.

ETA: as I type this the defense scores and he gets an extra point. Woo hoo.

Every week my opponent has one player that scores multiple TDs. It seems all of my players combined can't even score one.

I'm going to lose to a team that has Tashard Choice in their starting lineup.

Started A-Smith over B-Wells...they said he would be limited...he has played almost every snap

:goodposting: WTF???....gawd I hate fantasy football this year.

Started CJ. Have Hunter on my bench w/ 3 quarters left only 1 pt back under our scoring (20 per w/o fractional)

I am playing the worst team in the league, by far. After the first set of games, he was up 106 to 24. Granted, I only played two players against his five, but he has only scored 106 in three GAMES this year.

Also, Jermaine Gresham being benched forced me to pick up Evan Moore, when I am already starting Greg Little. Oh, and I benched Greg Olsen for him.

Just a big pile of crap today.

*Thought* I was looking ahead since Detroit was on a bye next week and SF was just sitting there, so I switched them out.

Eff me. Detroit D ended up with 29 points.

playing a bad team - and he gets an improbable not one but two IDP Tds....now I need a miracle from Romo, Gates and Mathews to pull out a win and I have the second highest score in the league....why is it always me? Thats right, God hates me.

My 6-1 team is getting beaten by an 0-7 team...by 85 points thanks to Cam Newton, the Lions defense, and Lance Moore for him and Greg Little, Evan Moore (thanks a lot, Gresham), and Neil Rackers for me.

I have Romo, Murray, McCoy, VJax, and the Chargers defense left to play against Gates and Henery, but the odds of me coming back are slim to none.

It happens. Be glad that you are 6-1. I lost to a team that had John Beck as their starting QB last week and a team that left Tashard Choice in their lineup this week.

I got Tebow'ed in two leagues. And, what I mean by that is that he played against Detroit. And, the teams I was facing had Detroit defense. Went from the possibility of going 2-1 this week instead now going to go 0-3 for my three leagues. Ugh!

Detroit is not the Detroit of past. That should have been clear by week 8.

Finally looked at my scoreboard so far, playing the strongest team in the league:

- FJax gets me 22 pts, but first week without a TD I desperately needed

- Marshall only gets me 9

- Play against Brees who gets a garbage time TD, but did get lucky that Graham crapped out.

- Bengals defense (me) against Lions defense...

- Ray Rice gets 18 extra points due to 3 TDs thanks to Anquan Boldin getting PIs in the end zone

To sum it all up, I'm down 37 with McCoy, Murray, VJax, Witten, and LB left, while he still has Battle and Austin.

Damn

Against my better judgment, I am going to start the annual #####ing about the head to head, luck-based nature of fantasy football.

I am the HIGHEST scoring team in my league and will be 4-4 after this week!

... and I got prison raped by Ray Rice and Steven Jackson!! :wall:

Kinda makes you wonder why people put hundreds, even thousands of dollars on the line in leagues, doesn't it? I'm not saying it isn't fun to put money on it, but considering the extreme amount of luck involved and how even researching for weeks before your draft and buying subscriptions to sites, you can still be terrible.

what does that have to with his post?
I read it that he expected Tebow to roll just becuase he was playing against Detroit.

:goodposting: This is why I invest a nominal amount of money into this hobby! ... and I have had my fair share of luck over the years. Not so much with the head to head thing, but with players I have drafted.

Thanks alot D. Brees and J. Graham. Also had to start Alphonso smith and tanner because my rbs in that league were Charles/best/mcgahee/ingram..... Im 5-3 now and need a win bad next week... WTF fantasy football pisses me off sometimes, I wonder why I even play

I think I just had the worst possible outcome of that game.

Dez and Bailey vs. Romo

I still got Mathews, so all hope is not lose. But I was thinking that I would only be down the same amount (10) and not an 20.

Had d.Thomas and hillis injured, Benson suspended, and I started Jackie battle over beanie. Oh... And romo.

I had Gronk, opponent had Hernandez, refs get a visit from the :censored: -up fairy and Belichick still has his flag stuck in his :censored: Result? I lose by two :wall:

Best injured...McFadden injured and on a bye...Thomas ends up not playing, I need a #2 RB. I go with Woodhead, who gets me a 0 and I lose...by 5.

The difference? The fact that Calvin does not get the TD in the Denver game and they rule the ball at the 1, Mo Morris, who my opponent had, punches it in.

I hate fantasy football.

Brees, Colston, Kasay laid a proverbial egg and listened to FBG's rankings and played Dallas D instead of Cincy D. Frustrating week all around.

Started Demarius Thomas over Doug Baldwin (after his goose egg last week) - this decision will likely cost me a win this week... :hot: :wall: :yucky: :X :bag:
