Game Thread W11 - Jacksonville V Cleveland (1 Viewer)

What's the over/under total for this game, about 14?
According to Covers.com, the over/under is 34.5, that's probably from early in the week, not that I'd expect it to have changed much during the week.
Thanks. I was kidding of course about the 14, but 34.5 is pretty low isn't it? I think I usually see those numbers in the 40s.
Still seems high for this game. Rams and Browns combined for 19 last week and the Rams have a better offense than Jacksonville.

I know you were kidding , but I figure I'd post what it was since I don't expect there to be much to talk about in this game. Yeah it's a low total, but I think these teams combined score is an average of about 25-27 points, so even the over/under is predicting a higher than average for these teams.

End of the first quarter and so far this game is pointless. Last play had Gabbert do a playaction rollout and he had all day, could not find an open receiver so he ran for 5 yards and ran out of bounds. That just shows how bad the receivers are for the Jags, QB has all day and there is no pass attempt.

MJD plows through a few defenders for a 6 yard TD run. Jags drive was 18 plays for 92 yards. We have some points, Jags lead 7-0.

Gambling Jack loses a challenge of a tipped ball at the line of scrimmage, Browns get a PI call in the endzone and a first down at the Jags 1.

I'm sure it will get mentioned on The Jack Del Rio show on Tuesday.

Punting? Really?
It's the safe, conservative call given you get the ball to start the 2nd half. A nearly 60 yard field goal attempt if it falls short gives the Browns a kick return with the Jags blockers out there instead of the special teams kick coverage. A failed play gives the Browns a shot at a Hail Mary to end the half.

I understand, but Scobee has more than enough leg.

How much of a die hard fan do you have to be to sitting in the stands at this game?

Could there be a less entertaining matchup?

But they could hsve gone for it to try to get 7 more yards, worst case you leave Browns with 9 seconds and ball on own 40, dont see why you would ever punt there

I would think that if you are in the stands at the game, you are a seasons ticket holder which by definition makes you a die hard fan.

At least they get to boo MJD in person when he did the LeBron celebration.http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2011/11/20/2575832/maurice-jones-drew-trolls-cleveland-with-lebron-james-celebrationHow big of a fool do I have to be to wathc this instead of 1 of the other games I have on Sunday Ticket (don't have the RaiderNation 9 TV setup).

That pass interference call was as bad as the holding call they made on the Browns against Marcedes Lewis in the first half.

Geez, nice phantom PI there. Great job by the zebras. I guess they'd rather be watching another game too.

That's what makes us die hard fans JaxBill, we have Sunday Ticket and watch the Jags at Cleveland instead of any other game available.

Think about this. The Raiders built their program up with Gruden, ultimately went to a Super Bowl, fell on hard times for years, and now they are back and playing well with their next generation of talent. In that same span of time, the Browns have been scrambling around in the cellar of the division trying to figure things out.

Horrible throw by McCoy, have to wonder if Holmgren doesn't want one of the 4 QBs in the top part of the draft next year. McCoy looking more and more like a back up.

Agree with the bolded, but I only count 3 QBs in the top part of the draft for next year. Luck, Barkley, Griffin III. Who's the 4th you're talking about?

As much as people want to blame Gene Smith for draft misses, he's done a nice job of picking up defensive role players like John Chick and Matt Roth.

Browns are 3-1 win they win the turnover battle. 0-5 when they don't win it. They are losing that battle 1-0 today.

From the NFLDraftScout list on CBS Sports website, the others in their top 5 QBs are Landry Jones and Ryan Tanehill.

I believe Landry Jones will come out, he threw for a mile last night but his defense allowed 45.
