Week 11 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Starting Denarius Moore over Vincent Jackson looks to have been a huge mistake. I am also hoping Stafford starts throwing to Calvin.

 
Percy Harvin having his best game of the season two weeks after I trade him away. So of course I'm playing the team I traded him to.

 
I am back to the venting thread. My 5-5 team that is the highest scoring team in the league continues to have its share of effing frustrating developments:

Started Willis McGahee over LaGarrette Blount

Started Dez Bryant over Jordy Nelson

Stafford throws five TDs to nobody named Calvin Johnson

No TDs for Murray

I wish I would have had the balls to start Kevin Smith

My opponent pulls Ogbannaya out of his butt

Sometimes, I wonder why I play this game! :rant: :wall: :bag: :hot: :loco: :rant: :wall: :loco:

 
My opponent has a terrible lineup this week, but he has two good players. Matt Stafford (40 points) and Ray Rice (30 points). I have a 6 point lead, but have already used Romo, Murray, and Fred Jackson. Currently, I have Roddy White and Nick Novak going against his Earl Bennett, Vincent Brown, and Ryan Mathews. Later, I have McCoy and Manningham versus Gronkowski, Steve Smith (Phi), and the New England defense.

No reason this should even be close, but of course, my luck is terrible.

Everyone always says "I won't bench this player, because when I do he will blow up". Started him last week and got one catch

Traded him in a deal for Foster and still had him this week, and started Marshall over him. Blows up for at least 143 yards

AND HE JUST SCORED A ####### TOUCHDOWN

There's a 2-8 team in my league who this week is starting:

Kevin Smith,

Torrey Smith, &

Mike Williams (TB)

Not surprisingly, he's way ahead of everyone else in points this week. Fortunately I'm not facing him, but if I were, I'd be :cry:

ETA: No, I wouldn't actually be :cry: , but there's no emoticon for 'throwing a brick through my television'.

Hahaha, the Lions vs Panthers game ended up w/ 84 pts scored, and my stud WRs (Megatron & Steve Smith combine for a lousy 25 fantasy pts, .5 ppr); Denarius Moore (FLEX play) has 1 catch.......and my bench WRs (MWTW & Nate Washington combined for 45 fantasy pts. Gotta love fantasy football. Goodbye playoffs

 
Started Greg Jennings (2 catches for 6 yards) and fricken David Nelson (1 catch for 0 -ZERO ) yards. A-Holes

I am more annoyed than I think I've ever been during a fantasy game. I have Lesean McCoy and Mario Manningham going against Steve #######' Smith...and he's single handidly outscoring them BOTH after that touchdown reception.

Up by 26 coming into this game with McCoy and Manningham vs. Smith, Gronkowski, and the Pats D. It SEEMED like I could build up a nice lead to hopefully overcome the surely high scoring Gronkowski and Pats tomorrow night. Now though, unless some things seriously change in the second half, I'm pretty much screwed.

Ridiculous.

Well I'm sure as s*** glad I dropped Nate Washington for Damien Williams. Plus Forte was a disaster today. (League 1)

Brees is my #1 QB. Use my backup QB Hasselbeck for the first time and he gives me 6-7 points. Up by 37 but likely to loose as my opponent has Hernandez and Welker left.

 
Rodgers with 299 yards after his last pass to Kuhn went for -1 yard took away the 3 point bonus for me and I end up losing by 2 points :(

 
Would the real Hakeem Nicks plaese stand up!! Where'd he go? Put him on a milk carton will ya. Nothin more than a flex play in a bind going forward IMO. Un-Bump all New York Players (except Cruz) that gos for the Jets too. Looks like its time for both to rebuild because neither is going nowhere (maybe one and done for Giants).O and DJax is the biggest filthy dooosh nozzle ever hatched. Nobody is gonna pay this turd big stud money.

Played against guy with Green starting but Crabtree has biggest game of season (49er fan, so it's okay), also started DHB and Maurice Morris

McCoy goes out at the 3 on that last play.

Down by 8 with only Derrick Johnson left

 
Starting Daniel Thomas over Kevin Smith, could decide my season. 0 efforts from Denarius, Jacobs, Manningham, Santonio.

 
My starting trio of WR (manningham, Moore, Holmes) hooked me up with a whopping 7 points. Thanks guys, now I only need 25 from Gronk

 
In one league I had Benson, Freeman, T.Smith, Kevin Smith and Ogbonnaya on my bench... I started the worst possible lineup combination.

In another.. I'm 6-4, one game behind the Division Leader.. I won this week and checked to see how the DL did. The guy playing the DL has Rodgers on his team BECAUSE he hates him. He DRAFTED Rodgers AND Drew Brees just so he could sit Rodgers all year. This week.. Brees on a bye.. this guy picks up and starts Skelton (-3) points.. Rodgers 23 points on his bench.

The DL beats him because of this and stays a game ahead of me...

Oh, but in my big money league, I won AGAIN... putting me at 11-0 ;) guess that should go into the bragging thread. :D

Add me to this vent. I start V Jax and I win...but after last week I thought he'd be punished for his lacksadaisical play...doh! Maybe I should just rest easy knowing that I have administered punishment for benching him as a ploy to motivate him.
 
my team: rivers, fitz, nicks, dez, d moore, mccoy, starks, finley

his team: hasselbeck, gaffney, t smith, c schilens, j simpson, rice, k smith, witten

projected to win by 43 (ive never seen that before), losing by way more than 43...at least i sat stevie johnson again oooof.

Thank you, Victor Cruz !!!No, I didn't win. I had Victor Cruz going against me.

Victor Cruz had a good enough night that I lost by a wide margin. Wide enough that my decision to start Denarius Moore over Brandon Lloyd was not a factor in the outcome of my game.

I have nobody to blame but the players on the field.

Screw you, Chris Johnson!

 
I tweeted a Footballguys staffer a few weeks ago asking if I should pick up Morris and, if so, who I should drop. He suggested Cruz over Mannigham and Addai, among others. I am to blame, of course, for taking the action but I definitely wish I would have hung onto Cruz - I would have won this week and felt a lot better about my team (my other 2 wideouts to go with Manningham are Bowe and Stevie Johnson who have both tanked) heading into the stretch run.

 
Dropped Kevin Smith before lineup deadline on Sunday morning to fill in another position. Traded Vincent Jackson. :wall:

Picked up Kevin Jones a few weeks ago, when I meant to pick up Kevin smith. Just figured it out yesterday after he blew up. Also, traded away drew Brees, Reggie bush and Dallas Clark last week for Adrian Peterson to watch adp get hurt.

:goodposting: Picked him up in two leagues as I knew Atlanta would jump out early. He and Vincent Brown disappeared right when I used them. Been that way all year long. The other players I looked at using, Gaffney, Simpson and Nate Washington (availble in one short bench league, but had been stale lately and missed practice on Friday) of course all blow up. It has been uncanny this year that I have picked up/started all the wrong guys at all the wrong times.Oh, and did I forget to vent about injuries and so-called starters getting no touches? Ignoring all the season enders, I believe I have had at least one player go down every week in the game, mainly the first quarter, either due to injury or due to Shanahan. Been killing me all year. Only so many times you can overcome a 0, 1 or 2 point game and yet again, I got hit with Maurice Morris, Hasselbeck and Shon Greene again this week. The only league I am doing well in now is the one I was 0-2 after losing Charles and getting riddled with injuries early. The other two are killing me. Being 5-6 now (assuming a loss today unless Brady and Welker go nuts) when I started the week 2 points away from the scoring league is beyond frustrating. I figured out that if the teams I played score around average, I would have been 7-2 going into this week. The other one is a very short bench league so of course I didn't have room for Murray and Bush, but with Chris Johnson, Felix and McFadden to start the season, seemed like I had a great backfield.This has easily been the most frustrating year I have ever had in FF.

Me too, lost a 2 point bonus on it & dropped me .5 points behind my opponent. Then Matt Ryan ended the Falcons game with 3 kneel downs, losing a total of 6 yards & .6 points & giving me the win!!

I was up by ~7 pts and in the span of 20 seconds watched Eli fumble for me (-2) and then McCoy breaks off a @#$&ing garbage-time run for my opp(+6) and I end up losing by 1.3 pts. I seriously wonder why I keep playing this game some days...

Well it turns out after my disaster, last night I was gonna need 9 points from Derrick Johnson to win.

Now, I got 5 points from ESPN I guess on stat corrections, now I only need 4 to win

COME ON DERRICK

 
So Gronk goes bat #### crazy and gets me within 1 point, then does nothing the last 25 minutes. What a tease.

I have to lose to my brother?!?!?? Just when I could have had 2nd place.
