Week 13 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

It wasn't bad enough I lost Fred Jackson for the year. Now Forte is out, hopefully for just this game. Goodbye 1st place.

Awesome...Antonio Brown is on my team, yet he's scoring points for my opponent's DST. That's just not being a team player, Antonio...

Going against Marshawn Lynch, with 26.80 points, and Rob Gronkowski, with 24.60 points and counting.

My entire TEAM has scored 28.58 points so far.

You know, I know there are threads on this, but when is AJ not injured? I know talent wise he's a top WR in the NFL, but I'd seriously want no parts of owning him at his price in re-draft leagues.

 
Friend need a win this week.

Asked Matthews or Blount. My guy said Matthews but told him to go Blount. He thought the same. He may not get into the playoffs now lol

 
My backs, Gerhart, Williams, nd Wells are going to get me a combined 12 points at this pace.

Add bolin and Nicks and i could set record for lowest points

 
You have to start Blount 5 games to get ONE solid one out of him. If you sit him, he blows up. Then you start him...and he gives you today vs the worst rush D. Now I'll sit him during playoffs and he'll go off while whoever I started over him gets hurt aka Kevin Smith.

Larry Fitz is so frustrating.

Baltimore pass attack is bi-polar.

Felix Jones 50/50 with Murray now.

My teams screwed for playoffs. Learned a lot this year, never draft a Mario Manningham (breakout candidate) early on. Not worth it. Stick with your consistency guys, even if they're old aka Boldin.

 
Benched the 49ers D and started the Bears. Been flip flopping all season, picking the wrong one every week.

 
I have Blount & Murray starting at RB (Spiller & BJGE on the bench); am currently 0.12 points down in a must win game (have 4 players still playing to opponent 2) :rant:

 
Ugggh, up by 4 late in the 4th with my Murray, Jennings, Cruz & Dallas DST vs his Nicks, can't lose right? Arizona FG takes 3 off my lead & then Nicks gets the late, late TD, end up losing by 1.

 
I dont know why I am even surprised. Horrible coaching and play calling by Jason Garrett. Horrible defensive calls by the most over rated loud mouth in football, Rob Ryan. The December swan dive for the Cowboys has begun.

I am betting on a 14-20 point beat down by the Giants.

Cowboys finish 9-7 at best.

 
Need a win to get in playoffs

Have second highest pt total week

Take lead with finley's catch on gb winning drive then lose because of jordy's catch right after

Losing a game by 0.05 pts also earlier in season

 
I hate watching Fitz get ignored by Kolb. I hate that Arizona won even more because the front office doesn't care about fantasy football meaning Kolb still the overpaid starter.

 
Hanging by a thread to sneak into the playoffs with a great game today to overtake another team by total points. Then, Hanson has a FG blocked and Smith after yet another solid start and tons of points has to leave the game. I have lost so many players to in game injuries. Heck, I have a 2 point loss earlier in the season and I would easily be in the playoffs and in that game Felix Jones left that Pats game and ironically Hanson missed a 52 yarder.

Now, I need Hanson to somehow fend off Brees. Yeah, that's going to happen. If Smith played the rest of the game, I have a great shot. Heck, if he doesn't get hurt on Thanksgiving, I probably already have the playoff spot in the bag. I feel like I have been posting in here every week lately about another player getting hurt in game after they got off to a good start.

ETA: Oh, and I forgot about Romo. We get 3 bonus points for 300 yards passing. Due to horrible time management (should have used the timeouts to pass and get closer), horrible defense to give up a pass interference in OT on 2nd and 19 and of course a stupid random coin flip and I miss out on an extra 4 points that is another reason I will miss the playoffs in this league. Romo himself has killed me lately. 4 of the last 5 games he has had 270-299 yards passing without getting 300. Outside of today, he got 200+ yards very early in the rest of the games and couldn't throw me a bone.

Sorry to be long, just overthinking the zillion and one plays that will keep me out of the playoffs. :bag:

Sitting at 10-2 with a bye almost locked up and I lose Forte and K. Smith in the same day. Also traded Tampa Mike for S. Smith a couple weeks ago and Smith has completely disappeared....even with Carolina putting up huge points.

Season over.

 
Why? Hanson has the distance for a 65 yarder and it is just wide. The FF gods are just laughing at me now. Nothing like getting a glimmer of hope to only get the door slammed in your face twice.

Thank you Felix Jones for ruining my season, since I gambled on you and then continuing to haunt me by ruining Demarco Murray's value. You and Jason Garret can eat a big bag of #####.

 
I'm going ahead and preemptively venting in this thread. I have the highest score in my league by far this week, while the one person who is within striking distance is playing against me. I am up by 20 (I have Colston and he has Burleson in the game that is currently ongoing), but I have a 20 point lead. Tomorrow, he is playing Vincent Jackson against my Nick Novak.

I traded him Jackson about three weeks ago. I have absolutely no doubt that this is going to be one of his monster games. If I lose, it will be the third time in three weeks where I have the second highest score in the league...and it will eliminate me from getting a playoff bye next week. Normally that wouldn't be horrible, but with the use of Demarco Murray today, I really needed that bye week to see how things are going to play out in Dallas.

Exactly. The Cowboys deserved to lose. What happened when Garret decided to go for the FG from 49 yards when there was enough time and downs to run 1-2 more plays to shorten up the attempt? And then Garret freezes his won Kicker?

That starting lineup, in a 1ppr, with rather ordinary scoring, is on the verge of missing the playoffs. I am on a 5 game losing streak, having had my last 4 opponents score their highest week of the season against me. Now, if P. Rivers gets more than 27 points in that format, I miss the playoffs at 6-8.

How does that lineup miss the playoffs in a ppr?

In one day, I lose Forte, Andre Johnson, Payton Hillis and Kevin Smith. Only good thing here is I get a bye to start the playoffs next week! I hope a couple of these guys heal quickly.

 
Blount was a huge disappointment,especially since he was going against Panthers.. :shrug:

now you HAVE to use him this week,because this is the week he will go off once again, 110 and a TD v. Jags..

seems to be an every-other-week stud..

strictly for fantasy football reasons, Sean Payton's play calling at the end of the game last night was frustrating: 4th and 2 at the Lions' 30..why not kick the FG there? instead they run it into the line for no gain,turnover on downs..

At least you don't have Calvin Johnson getting ignored by a legit (albiet #####) QB.Then how about the putrid and totally predictible SF offense. Lucky hey have a stellar D casue their O sucks. Who the hell uses a fullback anymore? you trot one out there, everyone knows you are running the ball...SF AND ATL. #######s.

My starting 3 RB's at the beginning of the season were A. Bradshaw, D. Mcfadden and Forte. Thought I was going to kill it. All 3 injured now. Bradshaw maybe comes back for the playoffs. Who knows with Mcfadden. Forte was holding it down for me until yesterday. UGH!

Same....And I never would've thought a month ago that my WR combo of Megatron & Steve Smith would fail me so miserably down the stretch run. I know WRs put up stinkers once in a while, but damn, both of them at the same time, for pretty much the same stretch of games???

 
The league record for most avg points by a team per week is 116 , set 10 years ago.

My average opponents score this year is 117ppg.

So its like I played the best team in the history of our 15year league every week.

Still had a chance to make the playoffs until Gronk spiked me in the heart 3 times.
