NFL Schedule 2012 (1 Viewer)

As a Panthers fan, it will be interesting to see how many primetime games the Cam Newton factor will bring us. It's the first time the team has really had the flagship player who draws in the big crowds. Personally, I like one or two a year and that's it. I hate having to wait all day Sunday (or Monday) to see them play.

Can't believe ESPN is dragging this out for a 3-hour show. No thanks, I'll read it online tomorrow.

Expecting Denver (Manning), Jets (Tebow), and maybe Buffalo (Mario) to get nice bumps in number of prime time games.

reported by 97.1 the tickets Tont Ortiz - The Lions will host the Houston Texans on Thanksgiving.
Very nice.
After no prime timers last year, it will be good to see the Texans in prime time. With the 13 Thursday night games, I believe all NFL teams are now guaranteed at least one prime time game. That is very nice for all teams in the league.
I, for one, will not be watching all the crappy Thursday Night matchups on a network that I don't have in my house.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Broncos get a Sunday night game or two later in the season, that way Manning is on in prime time, but if by chance his neck acts up and his comeback is stunted, they can always flex out of the Broncos game and go with another, a luxury they wouldn't have early in the season.

Bumemr for you.Increase in prime time: Denver, SF, DetroitDecrease: Miami, Indy, Saints

Anyone else doing what I'm doing and matching up my player's bye weeks with the team I'm playing that week and targeting them for a trade?

Example - lets say V Jax has a week 7 bye, and I'm playing team #4 that week. Now I'm a bit inclined to trade V Jax to team 4 knowing that he wouldn't be able to start him against me that week. I did that last year a few times, and while I may have sold the player at a bit of a discount, their inability to use that player against me really helped.

Manning will get the max alloted prime time slots....mark it down...hate the Broncos but it's going to happen...

CAR big increase...

I think WAS and IND will get more than you think...

This seems extremely silly to me. A single bye week isn't going to affect a team THAT much, in order to hurt your team for the rest of the year (and in particular, in playoffs, when it REALLY counts). His 3rd wr starting instead of vjax may drop him a bit if vjax happens to have a big game. I'd bet that the chances of you winning the week by less points then vjax MAY have had that week over his next best wr seems pretty slim. I'd roll the dice with your line up and keep vjax for the playoffs in that situation.

If there's one thing we can always count on, it's plenty of NFC East teams (was hoping that Dallas would be paired up with a non-NFC East team on Thanksgiving).

Well I'd be trading him for another player...maybe who's bye week isn't an issue for me at all (maybe it's a week when I'm playing a very weak team).

Word in Baltimore is that the Ravens host the Bengals on MNF in Week 1. Would be first home MNF game for the Ravens since 2007

Your leaguemates should take advantage of this tactic, by flipping those guys you trade them at a discount for a better deal - which would make you play against them anyway.

I'd consider this in redraft only

Plenty of NFC East teams where?
I was just commenting on the Dallas Thanksgiving game going to Washington. If you're a fan of an NFC East team, there is really no need for Sunday Ticket if you live outside of the local area. Every game will end up in primetime or in the national game on CBS/Fox.

Byes

4: Colts, Pitt

5: Dallas, Det, Raiders, Bucs

6: Panthers, Bears, Jags, Saints

7: Atl, Den, KC, Miami, Philly, SD

8: Balt, Bills, Cincy, Hou

9: Pats, Jets, 9ers, Rams

10: Cards, Browns, Pack, Skins (didn't Packers get a week 10 bye last year too?)

11: Minny, Giants, Seattle, Titans

Packers had a week 8 bye last season.

*Sigh* and as a Panthers fan, we get two primetime games...against two NFC East teams (Philly and NYG).

Just eyeballing it, a lot of teams that only got 1 game this year despite the NFL adding more Thursday night games. Colts and Jags (Thursday vs each other), Bucs and Vikings (Thursday vs each other). Dolphins and Bills (Thursday vs each other). Rams (against Cards). Browns (against Ravens).

With 1 Primetime game last year, Houston gets 5: 2 Sunday night, 2 MNF and Thanksgiving. But only 1 of those (Packers on Sunday night) is at home :-(

Looking at the schedule just reminded me of Thursday games all year. Can't stand them when it comes to injuries and setting lineups.

Bills have to play the Pats after the Pats' bye. Yet again. It's almost comical at this point. And it's in New England of course.

And 7 of their first 11 are away games. Awesome. NFL doing their best to make sure Buffalo doesn't capitalize on their offseason and start off strong again.

You think there is some sort of conspiracy keeping the Bills down?

I don't think it's a conspiracy, but it's unreal how Buffalo ends up playing one or both of the Pats and Jets after those teams' byes every year. It was either last year or the year before that they played like 4 teams after byes. I'm sure plenty of teams have reasons to complain, but it's pretty clear that the Bills don't have the pull that some owners seem to have in getting their teams more beneficial schedules.

great news for life long Redskins fans from NC that are also big Panthers fans. This year they only play during the same time a total of 6 times, and that doesn't happen until week 7! I'm kinda bipolar with my favorite team and so excited I can watch both most weekends (and Tivo the times they play at the same kickoff)
