Dealership is full of tools. They pay a $12 pizza order with $20 all in singles. The guy leaves and the dealership calls back asking for him to bring back their change right down to the penny.

?

Bill was $42 and they paid with two $20s and two $5s.

It is natural for the delivery guy to assume the extra change was a tip, since they gave him a $5 when they wouldn't have to in order to settle the bill.

Maybe the dealership people are just bad at math and the finance department went out for lunch.

While it is a ##### move to call him back for their change, the whole Internet's wrath thing with the tools on Welp trashing the dealership is sort of weak IMO. Anonymous Internet bashers don't care about that guy or those other tools. They are just always ready to pile on and ruin someone's day when the opportunity arises.

Big difference between Westport MA and Westport CT.

That said, I wonder if that dealership dares get delivery again from anywhere nearby.

So disappointing that not one person in the dealership even tried to make this right.
From the article:

In addition, the owner of the dealership and his son came by to apologize to Palace Pizza in person on Wednesday.

“I was the manager on that night, and today they came and spoke to me, profusely apologized,” Willoughby said. “We both want to make things right between us. We don’t want any bad blood.”

Fixed.

The excuse the dealership dingleberries used about giving extra money to allow for exact change doesn't make any sense in this case on top of it all.

Slight correction: Before this turned into a sheet storm. It's a pizza delivery. I cannot image the joy of dealing with this crew of stooges over a 25K car.

The dealership is so many kinds of wrong by the entire process of simply ordering a pizza and the employee's gold medal d-baggery. I'd fire every single person in that office in a blink of an eye.

There are few things as offensive as a female, backed by multiple males, threatening an individual with physical violence as happened when that ignorant ##### threatened to put her foot up the delivery guy's ### after he had been wronged by idiots and had already turned to leave.

As for the salesmen, who apparently are math challenged and ignorant of common convention when it comes to making a payment, and are ignorant of the tipping conventions in this country, those fat bastards should be ordering salads and waters, not pizza and sodas. It is they who need to lose their jobs, each and every one of them.

I don't give any credit for apologizing after one has been exposed and one is likely only doing so as damage control. The apology did not come from the heart, but from self interest. Now I do note that had there not been an apology I would find that wrong, but at its best it is a neutral act when the hand is forced, not a positive act.

This. It's one thing to have one giant D-bag who thinks it's funny to be an ###. It's a different thing to have a whole crew of them.

You can apologize all you want...people who act like this have a flaw in their soul that an "apology" won't fix. I hope they feel the wrath of this in a major way. They deserve it. Hopefully THAT will make them think twice before acting like a schoolyard bully again, because I don't think a little slap on the wrist will do.

As if we needed more evidence that people that work at car dealerships are pretty much the bottom of the barrel.

I wonder how they divided the $7 between them. I'm surprised they didn't tell the guy to come back with five $1 bills and $2 in change so they could return $1.40 to each of five people who ordered, or something like that.

I'm betting they sent the shag boy out to the nearest grocery for some Sara Lee cheesecake. You don't get bodies like they have without working at it.

Stay on point and leave us fellow FBG FFs out of it

hmm interesting take. Maybe you would have preferred a stern letter from the pizza place?

Where are you getting this from?

It was a $42 order, they gave 2 20s and 2 5s.

the guy that gets me is the one after the pizza guy leaves saying he wants him fired " I want his job" What a Db
He might literally have his job if when this story starts to impact sales at that dealership..
It's a triangle death match of d-bags.

1) The female reining champ of foot-in-your-###

2) Blue shirt bald guy in the chair

3) "My house" and "wants his job" after he leaves

When I first read about this elsewhere this morning, the $12/$20 thing is what was reported.

Pizza guy handled tis like a champ
I agree

I delivered Pizzas for a couple years when I was younger. People like this are THE. #######. WORST.

I don't care if the trolls are opportunists or purists. This place going out of business is good for humanity.

I won't disagree because I don't know the local impact of that dealership going out of business. And I'm not defending the business or those goons. Just stating that Internet bashers will pile on for fun. For this particular business, I hope the owner was one of the people in the office. If not, and the owner of the business is embarrassed by the behavior of his/her employees, it could be too bad if he/she lost the business over this.
