This is shaping up OK so far.   I need some more work at RB but I've got a few rounds to polish turds.

Definitely need several things to work out at RB for you to have a good chance of going deep, but you are very strong at QB & that may make up for it. Your TEs scare me a bit too. Owens seems to get dinged a lot & I'm not sure Eifert will contribute much this year.

My favorite draft of the year, and I am 3 weeks into a new job  so I get little time to mess around.

Here are my thoughts...last year I won the SSL 4 due to my first three picks (Calvin, Roddy, ADP)...they were so dominant that I drafted Freeman, Skelton and Kafka (yes, Kafka) as my QBs, and it made no difference.  I kinda found my self in a similar draft pattern this year...we'll see if it works again.
7.05 - Michael Vick - Not bad value for the pick...he should do fine in the Kelly O.
9.05 - Matt Flynn - I know Tyler Wilson is there, just think Flynn will hold the job for at least the first part of the year...worst pick IMO for me so far.  Part of what bothers me is I could have waited and had Boldin as a WR4...I thought I could wait, but I was drawn to the fact he has little competition and can at least manage 10 points in a week if Vick goes down.

2.12 - Steven Jackson - I like this pick (if I say so myself).  I think they are going to insert him into the gameplan just like they did Turner when Smith started coaching.  I am a tad worried that he will not get many receiving opportunities, but we will see.
4.12 - Ryan Mathews - No competition for touches...just no options for the team unless a guy like Bradshaw signs.  Again, with Brown and Woodhead there, I am a little worried about receptions, but at this juncture in the draft, I am quite happy.
8.12 - Jacquizz Rodgers - Insurance for S-Jax...I sacrificed Schaub as a QB2 for him though...which was not smart.
10.12 - Ben Tate - Surprised he was still on the board.  He seems to get "the Butcher's leavings" more than any other RB2 on his own team.

1.05 - Calvin Johnson - While I am happy with my two RBs, I had no clue there would be such a run on RBs in the first two rounds. Still nice to know that I could have drafted two Jeremy Kerley's as my WR2 and 3 and still been OK...
3.05 - Vincent Jackson - ...but I didn't...I followed up with V-Jax, a guy who didn't lose a step going to a run first team...
5.05 - Pierre Garcon - ...and then I crapped the bed.  My second worst pick will probably cost me more than the Flynn pick.  Garcon seems good on paper, but when you look at what I passed up (Romo as my QB), it is a long shot considering I could have had a combo of Romo (at that pick) and Miles as my WR3...just dumb.

6.12 - Greg Olsen - Good things come to those who wait...

11.05 - Seattle Def - Run?  Why not start one?

Overall, I am pretty happy thus far, but in a 16 team league against the best, two mistakes will likely kill you...
ETA:  At 3.04 Razor sniped me with Stevie Johnson (in the slot!!!)...it will be my pleasure to pick you off at some point...lol).

I like this team a lot. QB could be an issue, but could also be a strong point. A lot of boom/bust potential with those 2.

team BSS with 1 pick to go:

QB - Tom Brady

RB - LeSean McCoy, David Wilson, Andre Brown, Pierre Thomas

WR - Jordy Nelson, Cecil Shorts, Lance Moore, Sidney Rice, Santana Moss, Julian Edelman

TE - Jermichael Finley, Coby Fleener

K - Garrett Hartley, Rob Bironas

Def  - Houston, Dallas

I like it. You can expect several monster point games from Nelson, Brady & McCoy & the rest should fill in the blanks nicely.

I almost went Henne @ 18 to lock to the Jax QB, but decided not to go that route.

A. Rodgers - 4
B. Gabbert - 9
Needless to say, my SSL championship hopes rest solely on Rodgers not getting hurt.

M. Forte - 8
S. Ridley - 10
V. Ballard - 8
Ry. Williams - 9
Da. Thomas - 6
This group is OK considering all the "sure things" at RB were long gone before I picked at 1.12.

M. Colston - 7
E. Sanders - 5
J. Blackmon - 9
A. Boldin - 9
D. Bess - 10
B. Gibson - 6
I need Sanders to be a solid contributor. Here's hoping that playing for the cash will motivate him. If I can make it through the 4 weeks of Blackmon's suspension, this group looks a lot better.

V. Davis - 9
F. Davis - 5
Nothing shabby about the Davis duo

M. Bryant - 6
K. Forbath - 5
I went a lot earlier than normal at K than I usually do, but I wanted a good scorer with a good bye week.

New England - 10

Probably my next biggest risk after putting all my eggs in one basket with Rodgers. If Brandon Gibson doesn't contribute, going 1 D will be a mistake.

Overall, this is not my typical survivor draft, but I wanted to mix it up a little for once. Going QB in the 1st round puts a weird kink into the draft plan.

I look for Bell to post #s like Morris did last year. So unless there's a QB that goes off like RG3 did last year, that should be enough to get it for Bell.
