3rd straight Gold Glove today!

That was totally undeserving. This is a prime example of a media darling winning something he shouldn't have.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/fieldi...umn=fieldingPctAgreed. Micheal Young is the obvious choice, great fielding pct, great range factor...
Check out Fucal's RF in the NL! (5.01) Too bad he made 27 errors.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/fieldi...umn=fieldingPctWhy do you hate the Yankees so much?!!? It's the Gold Glove!! Jeter's place in Cooperstown was cemented well before this!
Plus, this is still making up for Palmeiro winning the Gold Glove in 1999 over Tino Martinez when Raffy played a WHOPPING 28 games at first that season.

At month's end, Derek Jeter had gotten a hit in 56 of the last 58 games he'd played in, going back to last season. SABR research whiz Trent McCotter reports that he can find only two other hitters in the last 108 seasons who came that close to a 58-game hitting streak. One, of course, was Joe DiMaggio in 1941. The other was Ed Delahanty, who got a hit in 61 of 63 games from June 5 through Aug. 18, 1899. Pretty cool list.
