I am in a league that is doing a Auction/Draft. The first 12 rounds are auction and the last 6 are draft. The minimum amount for each player is $1.00 for either auction or draft. The cap amount is $75.00. Since the last 6 rounds are draft and everyone has to spend $1.00 on each I figured I would set up the program as follows.

Cap $69.00
Rounds 12
Teams 12
Minimum $1.00

This eliminates the last 6 rounds and the $6.00 that would be paid for them. Is this correct or should I use the following?

Cap $75.00
Rounds 18
Teams 12
Minimum $1.00

Also is there way to make the program realize that you need to spend a $1.00 on each player left? For example you have 10 guys left to get and have $20.00 left. The most you can spend on one guy would be $11.00 because you would still need $1.00 for the remaining 9 players.

Any info would be appreciated.

the first scenario sounds like it would work.

As for the checks and balances, Bruce added it to the list awhile back. Might be on future releases.

I think that the 1st choice is better for the prices, but will I be able to do my whole draft including the last 6 rounds if I only enter 12 rounds? I want to be able to use it for the whole Auction/Draft and not be stuck writing down the last 6 rounds on paper?

For the last 6 rounds, you'll have to Right Click on a players name and assign him to a team. It will default all selections to the last pick in the draft. You won't be able to assign players through the Draft Status window, as it will state DRAFT IS OVER!

I ran a mock with just 2 rounds. All of the players I assigned after the 2 rounds was over had a draft position of 2.12. If you are not concerned with that, then you are good to go.

Why not just enter 18 rounds to begin with?
