Tick
He made a lot of tackles for the Chiefs... could he start in Dallas? I'm not sure how he'd fit into a 3-4.

Word here is that he is expected to be veteran depth. Early thought is that he will play OLB especially on the strong side behind Al Singleton.

He was third in KC behind Fox and Johnson...
Probably just depth

Kevin Burnett is on that side, too. I think Fujita is better than Singleton, after learning the D he could get significant pt.

How does this affect Burnett's value? Any chance Burnett eventually starts at ILB instead of Bradie James?

Everything out now is speculation from various "insiders" until Parcells speaks, well really acts, noone knows. Most likely Fugita is depth, exactly where and who effects is guesswork.

with a new system and almost everybody new, it's just a guess now confused1.gif

but, this looks to be a good pickup for the Cowboys for depth thumbup1.gif

yes.gif Fuji, while not an exceptional talent, was the Chiefs best LB for the last two years, and a hard worker. The Cowboys got a gem (for depth anyway and for character) that the Chiefs just went another way from.

Burnett has a knee injury out for 1 to 3 weeks per 1310 radio in Dallas.

Athletic ability aside, Scott Fujita is Bill Parcells type of player. He is smart, tough, and has a good attitude. I honestly think he will break into the starting lineup at some point this season in place of Al Singleton.

One other possibility is that James moves to the outside and Fujita plays the inside with Nguyen.

Burnett is now out for 1-3 weeks and was supposed to start at an unknown LB'ing position. So with the injury anyone have an idea what that means for Burnett when he comes back? Will he have a guaranteed spot? Will it depend on how others perform for those first couple of weeks?

Thoughts?
