It should ask you via a popup when you open the document. Just click on the "Enable Macros" button and you should be all set.

I suppose I should qualify that a bit. How Excel deals with macros is a security level setting. You can see what setting you have by going to the Tools->Options form, choosing the Security tab and clicking on the "Macro Security" button on the bottom right hand side of the form.
At a minimum, you should have this set to Medium, which will cause Excel to prompt you like I outlined in my last post when it opens up a spreadsheet that it finds contains one or more macros. I would not recommend relaxing the security to "Low" as this will always enable macros, which could contain viruses, for *all* spreadsheets. If you set it to "High" security, the vdb app won't work (I think, unless the macros are signed and you have set it up properly to allow them).
If you can't stand the thought of dismissing this single popup, then keep the Medium security macro setting and add "David Dodds" to the "Trusted Sources" tab on the Macro Security window.
Help on all this, and more, is available in the help. Just type the word "security" into the Office Assistant.

Whoops, you can't add David Dodds to the trusted sources list since the macros are not "signed" properly.
Sorry for the confusion. I'll shut up now
