Bruce, thanks again for the app!

The math isn't adding up like I'd expect it to, though in the player pool. Let's use Peyton Manning as an example:

Scoring system: 1 point/30 pa yards, 6 pt/pa td, -2 ints and fumbles, 1 point/10 ru yards.

Under projections, he has 3485 pa yards, 31 pa tds, 8 ints, 27 ru yards, 2 fumbles.

First question - is this supposed to be projections from week 2 onward, or week 3 onward. I would expect it to be from week 2 onward, but I think it's being treated like week 3.

So, my score shows 285, which the projections almost get right at 287 (allowing for some rounding errors)

But, in the player pool page, it displays 338.

Okay, so, I assume this means I need to add week 2 projections to the above. Let's use the FBG projects of 266 pa yds, 2.4 tds, .8 int, 3 ru yrds.
That would be worth 22 points. Add that to my 287, and you still only get 309. Still 29 points shy from what shows in the player pool.

Am I making a mistake somewhere?

I'll look into it. The Projection are for week 3 forward...

What does it show for Manning in the Weekly Lineup for Week 2? 22 points or so?

Are your weekly weeks on the GameByGame all set to 1.00? These will affect the Player Pool points as well. Just uncheck the Use Weekly Weights and hit recalculate and see if it is ok.

I'm having a similar problem in that Lineup Dominator is recommending starting Jeremiah Trotter over Ray Lewis even though according to Norton projections Lewis outscores Trotter 10 to 6. The Lewis value matches up correctly in LD but Trotter shows up scoring 11

scoring = 1pt per tackle .33 per assist.

Yes, it shows 22 points for Manning for week 2.

My weekly weights were all set to 1 for my testing. When I unchecked use weekly weights, his score went up to 352. So, that's even worse. smile.gif

I have a quick question about something i'm confused about. It's probably just me.

I've been proposed a trade (I get Gates, he gets Domanick Davis)

The trade analyzer says i lose a little bit of value (1.5%) --- However, when i simulate the trade and look at my team strengths, my starters and entire team are better.

This seems counterintuitive to me.

Are these two measures of a successful team calculating things different ways?

Also, does the trade calculator take into account the fact that with Cadillac Williams, Deuce, and Willie Parker, I probably won't ever start Domanick? Obviously i'll start Gates over my current TE, Conwell.

Sorry for all that.... Appreciate the help.

The Trade Dominator strength calculations are based on the "Trade Value". The trade value is similar to the Top 200 Trade Value only based on your scoring system.

The Team Strength calculations are based on the projected fantasy points that your players are projected to score.

For trading... the Trade Values are probably a little more accurate. Both of them can be used as guages to see how the trade affects your team though.

Both calculations factor in your backups.
