New Texans DC Richard Smith is passionate, confident and optimistic about being in charge of a defense that's switching to a 4-3 scheme, a change that's welcomed by a lot of players who were unhappy last season. Because he has abandoned the 3-4, Smith has a group overstocked with tackles and understocked with ends. He also doesn't have the kind of middle linebacker he needs to ignite his 4-3 scheme.
Smith wants his defense to be so punishing and intimidating that opponents will dread playing at Reliant Stadium. I paid K Wong some good coin last year in RFA and this article is making me sick!
