Don't know why they don't sign her to a regular anchoring gig.

Sure was a nice complement to my coffee as I tried to wake up this morning...

If she becomes a regular, the ensuing pandemic of morning wood will be catastrophic.

Melissa is quite beautiful, but the woman she was subbing for--Campbell Brown--is also on the A List.

I don't care who she replaces, or when, I just want me some regular Melissa Stark. And watching her anchor was nice because you got to see a lot more of her than just the 30 sec. blurbs on MNF.

BTW, what happened to your avatar? I liked it... sad.gif

She does afternoons on MSNBC
Why did Viera get the Today show gig. That will do nothing for viewership, Melissa would increase the male demo significantly

There was a non-stop rumor - which I choose to believe is true - that was going around in 2001. It involved Melissa's ummmm.... "interest" in lacrosse players (insert Duke joke here) when she attended the University of Virginia. Anyway, ***rumor has it*** that she had a boyfriend at another school, and she wanted to stay true to him, but she SOOOO loved lacrosse players. What to do.... what to do? confused1.gif

She decided, staying true to her boyfriend, to take on the lacrosse team, one-by-one, ummm..... errrrr..... in the Brokeback hole. Do a search of the rec.sport.football.fantasy newsgroup from about 2001 using her name. You'll see the discussion.

I think most women's sports reporters the twist is, its them taking on the field hockey team.

Anybody know the female correspondents who covered the 2000 College World Series. Co-Worker of mine friend played for LSU when they won the 2000 College World Series and his teammate hooked up with one of the female correspondents and he got to put the biscuit in both baskets. I think Melissa Stark was already covering the NFL in 2000. All I can say is GB ESPN Female Correspondents.
