Does DD lite use eMbedded VB Runtime or the .net version of VB?
I ask because I have a Windows Mobile 5.0 device that does not support embedded VB Runtime as Microsoft is phasing it out.

It uses eMbedded VB Runtime. Windows Mobile 5.0 doesn't include it, but you can still download it and use it.

I downloaded eVB and it does not run on a Windows Mobile 5.0 device, it is unsupported and the installation does not complete.

I don't have Windows Mobile 5.0, so I can't test it here. Has anybody gotten the DDLite app to work on Windows Mobile 5.0?

Does Not Sound Promising

I just got a Treo 700w and was excited to try this out, but it looks like a port would be required?

Interesting link... since I used NSBasic for the Palm stuff a couple of years ago.

I doubt I have time this year yet to port it over... but maybe next year.

Will there be a 2006 database for DDLite?
Bruce Henderson
The DD generates the 2006 database. Click File -> Export -> DDLite Files

I too would very interested in DD Lite that is compatable with Motorola Q, windows mobile 5
Bruce Henderson
I'm not sure anyone has gotten it to work with Windows Mobile 5 yet. Microsoft says that it doesn't support the eMbedded VB Runtime in Windows Mobile 5, which is required for the DDLite to work.

I dont suppose DD Lite works with iPhone
Bruce Henderson
No. I'm not even sure what OS the iPhone uses... but I'm guessing it is something exclusive to Apple.

Bruce,

Looking ahead to next year, is there any chance some version of DD lite will be available that could work with a Blackberry?

TIA!

The DD Lite is getting a little dated. It was created back when Pocket PCs were running WindowsCE 2002 and 2003. The Pocket PCs of today are running Windows Mobile 6. The DD Lite should work on them, if you get EmbeddedVB and the corresponding DLLs installed on it. At this point though, you might be better off just using the Pocket Excel built into it with an updated FBG player rankings.
