Does anyone know the rule on whether Andy LaRoche will be placed on the Major League DL to start the season? He is listed on the Dodgers 40 man roster, but I am unclear on whether they are allowed to keep him on the Minor League DL, or Major League DL.

Considering on using a late draft pick for him, as a DL stash, but that requires he is placed on the ML DL.

Unless you're in a dyno it shouldn't matter, he won't help your team this year and he won't be worth a keeper in 09. That injury should linger and it will keep him out of major league action until at least the All Star break.
