maybe the twin series will mean nothing, we go to KC and the Twinkies go to Tropicana for 4. I'm liking what I see as long as Ozzie let's his starters get thru the 7th and we don't see OD, Boone or Horacio.

Assuming they make the playoffs, I'd love to see him get a few games in during that last series v Cleveland. Knock some of the rust off before the games that matter start.
I didn't get to watch much tonight, but looks like Richard pitched a damn good game tonight. Nice to see.
Linebrink just ain't right yet, that pitch he served up to Damon was just meaty.

Doesn't matter if it's the Royals, or it's Floyd vs Davies, winning on the road is such a struggle for this team
no matter what the situation.
Twins on the road coming up, hopefully at least still 2.5 after today...

Something about this being the defining moment of Javy's career. He's 127-127....now is the time. Also brought up his lack of being a "big game" pitcher.

I'll be shocked if they don't get swept...I'm guessing there will be a makeup game versus Detroit on Monday, and if they can win that, a one game playoff in Minnesota or Chicago(is this determined by a coin-flip?)
As for Javy, he has no place on a playoff team. Good guy, but he can't handle stress.

Agreed on the 1st part. Sox already won the coinflip, so they come to Chicago if it even goes that far.

No he does not but apparently there was a blown call. On the radio side they were ripping balls and strikes and a play at second base. I know that Stone and Farmer hardly ever rip the umps and they were last night.
Also-
Ozzie ball is just a crafty term for the small ball. It does not exist on this team and that is why they are going home.

You don't. Look at the Twins and the Rays. They play small ball an they will be playing in the post season. Our guys can learn to work on run downs and bunting in the off season.
