what a great game, a pitching duel threw 8 innings, then the sox offense exploded.

Tigers, prior to this game, had a -34 run differential.

Javy really looking good through 3 games this year. I like it. Once they figure out that Contreras is done, and get him out of the rotation, I'll be happy.

Sox offense will be there all year...Thome needs to get it going a bit. Hit a bomb foul today, but doesn't look very good at the plate.

All and all, if you would have told me the Sox would have been 7-4 opening with that schedule, I would have through you were crazy.

Who knows what the WS have in the coffers but my point is this- the Tigers had no business making that deal based on the fact that Willis is done and Miggy is vastly overrated for the money they paid him. Can they afford to lose the fanbase there 3 years removed from such pathetic attendance numbers? It is clear that he will hit but when the weather warms. His defense is very laughable. As you know- A-rod is worth every penny that he makes by today's bloated salary standard. He is clearly the best player in the game and I will take him any time anywhere and so will any and every MLB team that can afford him.

He does not pitch nor play any other postion but 3rd base. But he could play 3rd, SS and DH. He is that good....
