I don't get why Limp is mad that Power cursed out this team when they were losing. Ever poster in this thread has talked #### about the players and the team when they don't perform. There's no problem with that.

Factor in buying out contracts(ie Phillies money to Thome) and the Cubs, Dodgers, and Angels leap the White Sox. Factor this in for non-playoff teams you get the Mariners to go along with Yanks, Mets, and Tigers.

The Sox were able to put a Central Divison victory without high priced players due to injury, Jose Contreras, Joe Crede, and Linebrinck for a period of time. Thanks to acquring men like Alexi Rameriz at just over 1 million and Gavin Floyd, Carlos Quentin(MVP lost for last month) and John Danks all under 1 mil. Jenks under 1 mil too but they got him before kenny i think.

Don't know, and to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about him at this point. I really liked what he did during the season this year as he always seemed to step in and give the team a lift (Cubs series, Grand Slam against Detroit) but he has been pretty awful as of late. The last few games of the season he left WAY too many guys on base. I'm not necessarily dying to see Swisher out there either, so I don't know what Ozzie is going to do.

If the past is any indication, he'll keep the same lineup that got him here.

Even if the Sox get swept, I like the pitching staff Kenny Williams has put together for the long haul Floyd/Burls/Danks gives them a 80+ win team for the next 5 years, and having a MVP candidate like Quentin(plus a potential stud in Alexei) in the lineup makes them scary. It will not take much to get this team back to the '05 level.

I really liked Lance Broadway in his spot start. I think he will be a nice 4-5 guy in the rotation .

Most def, if one of Broadway/Richard starts to realize their potential next season, and Contreras gives the Sox 20 solid starts, things are looking very bright on the SouthSide. Dump Javy Vasquez to the Steinbrenner of the Korean League, and I'll be in heaven.

Bring in a power hitting 3rd baseman or Figgins, move Uribe back to the bench, and hope Swisher can provide something. Of course injuries can de-rail the best of plans, but I'm expecting 90 wins out of this bunch next season.

That is what is so frustrating. Looking at this team just makes you shake your head.... Konerko, Dye, Thome, Griffey... all great players at one time or another. But when it comes down to it, no fundamentals, the pitching has carried them with Alexei and Carlos. Amazing to think where they WOULD have finished without Danks, Floyd, Quentin, and Ramirez.

I'd like to say it was a good run for the White Sox, but they never reached their full potential this year. They never had all cylinders pumping at the same time. I'd really like to see Griffey, Thome, Swisher and Konerko all gone. Start building around Alexi, Danks and CQ.

Agreed. I like the future of the pitching staff and Carlos/Alexei. If the team can dump Griffey/Konerko/Thome/Javy for some younger talent, I'll be very happy.

I'm not even mad, this team was supposed to finish in 4th place. We surpassed all expectations.
