1.07 Marion Barber, RB Cowboys

I like Barber a lot more after the draft. With a guy like Felix Jones on the roster, he's not a threat to take away any carries that you'd normally want your starting fantasy back to have like a Mendenhall would have been.

He's finally the starter, he's averaged 4.8 yards per carry the last two seasons on one of the most potent offenses in the league. Barber's last year before his contract is up.......this should be a career year for Barber.

1200 yards rushing, 12 td's on the ground, 50 receptions with 2 TD's receiving.

Edit to add: I Pm'd Jeff P. and his mailbox was full. I in turn sent him a message via email.

That's right. Thanks Jeff.
Jeff Pasquino
Portis and Moss were possibilities at 8 - good calls.

There's a reason I went Lynch over Portis but I'll save that for post-draft comments.

I'd like to mention that some of the best info comes from commentary during and post draft, so let's keep it lively guys - but no need for name-dropping.

agreed fidds.

IMO, near the bottom, 12,13 is tougher than the bottom two.

So many ways to go.

I wanted LJ bad. ah well.

Off to work, PM'd BSS my list. I figured he wouldn't know what to do with them anyhow so it was safe to send it to him.

FWIW, I think you're better off without LJ in this format. Could be a monster, could be an early ticket out of this thing.

Another SL, another double digit draft slot.

Hoping for Owens or Wayne.

It's not this round why I hate the later draft slots. It's the 3rd & 4th.

Very funny. Exactly who I was deciding between. Ronnie I think will be huge, but I alluded to my next picks, I thought not much at wide out is going to be left, relatively. CB will probably take the last one. Fitz I liked too and almost went with him because of a slightly better bye IMO. TJ seemed to have Henry and CJ with possibly reduced roles, so I went there.

I like that they got themselves a young QB and some quality offensive lineman. They're setting up to play some smash mouth football with some play action pass. If Turner can't be a solid RB 2 in this situation, he'll never be.

The OL is still bad, and if the defenses don't put 8 in the box they are making a mistake.

True, but Norwood averaged over 6 yards a carry and Dunn averaged a little over 3 yards per carry. You add a solid offensive lineman in there and what we hopefully think is a better starting tailback in there, you should see something around 4.0 yards per carry.

I'm thinking something around 1000-1100 yards with around 8-10 td's. Hopefully lots of dump off passes with either Redman who can't throw down field or even by the rookie QB.

Hartsock and baker should help plus they seem to want to finally make use of ovie. I'm optimistic.
