Pick any SSL, and any draft spot. Put together the best team possible from that spot. You can take anyone who was still on the board at that pick. If you choose SSL4, you can use ADP from the first three SSLs for the last few rounds. Post the best team you can.

My only problem here is that I don't want to expose my winning team...any way that we can do this in a blind format. Say email somebodys account that "promises" not to look...rosters revealed on a predetermined date?

rolleyes1.gif like anyone here cares what you want to expose - these are not your teams, just a compilation of the best picks from the four drafts
bostonfred
Assuming the players you like in each round don't change by draft day, then you'll be putting your big money 16 team survivor redrafts at risk.

Oh...I guess I was thinking we would actually compete against one another...I see it's just an exercise though...my bad.

This is harder to do than I thought. I started looking at ssl4 because of some of the talent falling. From Switz's spot I have

QB: Anderson, Delhomme
RB: LT, Brown, Rudi Johnson
WR: CJ, Clayton, Bennett
TE: Heap

I like this core but it's a little weak at WR. TE was the hardest position because all the value fell about 1.5 rounds after he picked.

I really like Fred's draft position but can't get my hands around what to do in the first round. Maybe I need to look at his position with Brady being the first pick.
BassNBrew
Didn't look at byes but I'd like this team from Fred's spot.

QB: Brady, Grossman
RB: Maroney, Forte, Benson, Betts, Morris
WR: S. Smith, Evans, Chambers, Gonzalez, Chad Jackson
TE: Davis, Crumpler, LJ Smith
K: one starter
D: any two

Obviously the best QB. RBs would suffice with having most of the NE and Chicago pie in tow. The WRs could do some serious damage. I've never tried 3 TEs but in this scoring system these three could post monster weeks.
Jeff Pasquino
Great idea.

Here's mine from SSL4:

1.10 MB3 (was 1.10)
2.07 Steve Smith (2.10)
3.10 Drew Brees (3.11)
4.07 Laveraneus Coles (4.12)
5.10 Donald Driver (5.11)
6.07 Bobby Engram (6.13)
7.10 Jeff Garcia (7.12)
8.07 Ted Ginn (8.12)
9.10 Selvin Young (9.15)
10.07 Randy McMichael (10.07)
11.10 Green Bay D/ST (12.01)
12.07 Ricky Williams (12.09)
13.10 Arizona D/ST (14.02)
14.07 Ben Utecht (14.08)
15.10 Kris Brown (15.10)
16.07 Matt Bryant (16.16)
17.10 Drew Carter (17.13)
18.07 Adrian N. Peterson (18.16)

Lineup (and byes):
QB - Brees (9), Garcia (10)
RB - MB3 (10), S. Young (8), R. Williams (4), Adrian N. Peterson (8)
WR - SSmith (9), Coles (5), Driver (8), Engram (4), Ginn (4), DCarter (5)
TE - McMike (5), Utecht (8)
PK - KBrown (8), MBryant (10)
D - Green Bay (8), Arizona (7)

Other than the "crazy 8s", I like this team.
bostonfred
1.06 Gamma1210 - Joseph Addai, RB6, IND
2.16 nittanylion - Wes Welker, WR13, NE
3.04 Road Warriors - Plaxico Burress, WR15, NYG
4.12 EBF - Laverneous Coles, WR22, NYJ
5.06 Gamma1210 - Marc Bulger, QB11, STL
6.13 Road Warriors - Bobby Engram, WR36, SEA
7.13 comet - Vernon Davis, TE11, SF
9.07 wraith5 - Reggie Williams, WR54, JAX
9.10 beachbum - Chris Brown, RB40, HOU
10.13 Road Warriors - Antwaan Randel El, WR62, WAS
11.06 Gamma1210 - Ahman Green, RB46, HOU
12.16 nittanylion - Dominic Rhodes, RB53, IND
13.10 beachbum - Matt Ryan, QB29, ATL
14.11 Gamma1210 - Houston Texans, DEF23
15.11 MOP - Desmond Clark, TE27, CHI
16.12 EBF - Rian Lindell, PK23, BUF
17.06 Gamma1210 - Jay Feely, PK27, MIA
Undrafted Cincinatti Bengals Defense

Here's one option, starting at 1.6. My thought behind this team is I wanted to pair Addai, one of my overall top backs, and Rhodes, while still putting together the best team of WRs I could. Brown/Ahman as my only backup option at RB is weak, and my kickers and defenses are not good, but I like the team. I didn't pay any attention to bye weeks, because this is just for fun.
bostonfred
1.09 Norsemen - Randy Moss, WR1, NE
2.10 wraith5 - Steve Smith, WR9, CAR
3.12 bostonfred - Laurence Maroney, RB19, NE
4.12 EBF - Laverneous Coles, WR22, NYJ
6.02 commuterman - LenDale White, RB29, TEN
6.15 switz - Rudi Johnson, RB33, CIN
7.07 wraith5 - Jake Delhomme, QB19, CAR
8.10 wraith5 - Nate Burleson, WR45, SEA
9.07 wraith5 - Reggie Williams, WR54, JAX
10.05 bostonfred - L.J. Smith, TE18, PHI
11.07 wraith5 - Chicago Bears, DEF5
12.13 Road Warriors - Tennessee Titans, DEF11
13.10 beachbum - Matt Ryan, QB29, ATL
14.10 wraith5 - Sammy Morris, RB59, NE
15.11 MOP - Desmond Clark, TE27, CHI
16.10 wraith5 - Lawrence Tynes, PK22, NYG
17.12 bostonfred - Sebastian Janikowski, PK30, OAK
18.10 wraith5 - Chris Perry, RB65, CIN

The theory behind this team that starts with 1.7 is that I wanted strong receivers with the best late round running back combos possible. Since late round backs are usually a crapshoot, I paired Maroney/Morris and Rudi/Perry, and took LenDale too. With WR strength, I only took five of them. I'm risky at QB with Delhomme/Matt Ryan, but I love the Bears/Titans defense combo each week. I have two kickers with starting jobs and I'm very weak at TE, but this team's built to score in bunches.

Based on this I bet wraith5 is happy....

Probably. I thought he had a good draft. But I took a couple of those guys - Perry and Morris - to back up starters he didn't get. And in more than a few cases, if there wasn't a big value guy in that round and I wasn't looking for a different position, I just took the next guy at the position available.

I would have been REALLY depressed if that's what I ended up with from my draft spot.

Not going to try this yourself? It's kind of a fun exercise.
