Depends if they baby him. If they really limit his innings I think he'll last quite a bit longer. Maybe 10.

I'll take the over......but I'm optimistic.

The Cubs got Harden for two reasons (ranked in order of importance):

1) To start games in the playoffs

2) Give them quality starts during the regular season.

#2 will never supercede #1 - if they feel the need to keep him on a pitch count and limit his number of regular season starts and give him extra rest between starts, they will. They did it with Zambrano - they "forced" him to go on the DL and limited his pitches his first start back - they'll certainly do it with Harden.

I also don't think the Cubs will have any problem shutting him down during the regular season if it means he could be healthy for the playoffs.

Also, just curious if the +/- is similar to Sheets'.

No DL this year for him and CC will end up there before the end of the year.

*Update July 17 2008*

Experiencing a minor tick in his left hip. Arm is feeling fairly strong to strong.

All systems go for Monday. Start him with confidence.

I don't know how long Harden will last, but it looks like he outlasted Gallagher.
Hope all is going to be all right for Sean.
