When I upload an avatar it appears on my screen as a red x in the corner. I've had problems like this on other forums. How can I fix it?

If you upload a new avatar, it will take about 10 minutes to show up because the image has to be copied over to our images server. So give it a few minutes when you do the upload and then press <Ctrl-F5> to reload the page from scratch to view the new avatar.
