I was looking for last years projections (didn't find them BTW) so I could look at who did best and it got me thinking. It would be nice to have an article written on an evaluation of the staffs projections from last year. Also if the staff could admit the mistakes they made and talk about lessons they have learned. It would help us learn from their mistakes. Also have them talk about what they did right and maybe share some of their "secrets" for the successes.

Did I post this in the wrong place or is this a bad idea?

I think Bruce's first PD or DD app of the year this year had the final projections from last year. I could be wrong on that though.

It's not a bad idea. Honestly, I know for myself it's hard enough doing forward projections, rankings, depth charts, etc so looking back to do something like that would something I'd like to see someone do..

I think CalBears did something like that last year and he had a thread going in the Shark Pool on it.

For myself, I look through my previous year projections before moving the whole XLS/template forward to the next year. Part of my process in creating projections begins by looking back at where I whiffed and why.. Sometimes I think my May/June projections are better than my July due to the tendency to overthink thinks or gravitate back to the group think.. something I try very hard not to do. I like to stick to my guns, though when I hear other opinions and takes I'm very open to their analysis and, if I agree with it, then I make tweaks, and so on.

PM me if you can't find the 2007 projections. If you want them, I'm sure we can find/get them for you.
