Had my Hybrid Keeper draft over the weekend. Going into this draft I was able to keep 1 IDP and I kept Patrick Willis. Can you all give me your opinions?

I can start 4.

Scoring System:

1 pt tackle
.5 pt ### tackle
4 pt sack
4 pt FR
3 pt FF
4 pt INT
6 pt TD

Patrick Willis
B. Urlacher
Derrick Johson
DJ Williams
J. Peppers.

I think I did ok but I’m not too excited about Urlacher or DJ. Urlacher had a great year last year but seems like an every other year player and your almost forced to start him based on his name. Am I over thinking that one? Peppers killed me last year but is in a contract year and has been dominant in pre-season play so far. Willis is a stud, nuff’ said. I reached on Derrick Johnson early because of the IDP forum talk w/ him moving positions and will be set up to make more impact plays. I’m not sure what to think about DJ Williams. He’s now on the weak side which he last played his rookie year and had a good season. Do you all think he’s a good play? The players I wanted were Rudd & EJ Henderson but they went quick and Beason was the first IDP drafted, ahead of Urlacher. Players on the wire I could get: Keith Rivers, Mayo, Boley, T. Davis.

I would probably start: Willis, Urlacher, D. Johnson & Peppers.

Urlacher should still be a LB1. I think Johnson will be fine this year in that system.

I'd be worried about Peppers' history of inconsistency, but he's an excellent boom-bust IDP4 when you've already got Willis and Urlacher up front.

Very hard to predict what Williams will do this season. He's been productive as a WLB in the past, and the Denver front seven doesn't look great. However, he won't be in the middle and the team is apparently going to play with eight in the box. Both could limit his overall opportunity. I'd be watching Jerod Mayo very closely, and be ready to move if Williams starts slowly or Mayo starts well.

Thanks Jene. I noticed Rivers had a good box score the other night, 4-4 w/ a sack. Bengals D will be on field a lot too. Thanks!!
