What weights do you use for your playoff weeks and why? Many of you have playoffs in Wks 14-16 (like me) ... others in Wks 15-17 ... but the principle is the same. Do you use 1.2? 1.5? 2? 3? 4? Do you use the same weight for all of your playoff weeks, or different weights for the earlier playoff weeks than for the championship?

Also, I've heard some people point out that despite using increased weights for playoffs, there still isn't any real change in the DD rankings. What is enough vs. too much?

I'd love to hear from Bruce on this as well as my fellow sharks who use DD.

TIA!

One of the guys on the board suggested that when setting wieghts for the GameByGame one should use a value of 2 for divisional opponents, 3 for 1st playoff game and 4 (4!) for the Championship game.

I have always used a 1.2 for those weeks. When I ran a mock with the 2,3,4 setting and I was surprised about how different the results were.

I'm not that comfortable with the higher settings because they put too much leverage on specific players in those critical few weeks that are 4+ months in the future -- the odds that SOS now will be accurate then are low and a lot can happen between now and then. I'm comfortable with 1.2, but anything over that makes me nervous.

1.5 is about the highest I go as well.
