Might be the sign that age has finally caught up to Mr. Knight. 
It's not Butler or Johnson are all world athletic beasts, so Knight's experience would help. That would make one believe that physically he might be losing a step or two.

He is smart and a hard hitter but very slow.
Butler is completely underrated and unfairly maligned by Giants fans. He is both athletic and knows the defense the best of the safeties. I bet Phillips steps in for Johnson and you see Butler start all year long and be an under the radar player ...

we loved the guy but he's a liability for most teams with his lack of speed.
