I don't have much knowledge of the rookie and saw he was posted pretty high on this weeks cheatsheet- thoughts on outperforming; Zach Thomas, Derrick Johnson, Mike Boley or Julian Peterson.
Jack Johnson

Hard to predict how he will perform. If he was on a different team, he would be a much better LB fantasy wise. I would say he and Thomas will have similar numbers at seasons end.

I think NE takes a step back on offense & defense this year, so he should get good opportunity to make plays. Their D didn't look very good when I saw them preseason, and the O can't be that good again.

I like him a lot, if you're tackle heavy, and I'm pretty sure at least jene(?) does, as well, but my knock on him would be that the new england offense might be a league leader in time of possession.
a guy like derrick johnson is in a much better position, to me, and might also see more sacks, as I have no idea what big play prospects mayo has.
I'm skeptical n zack for similar reasons, plus the concussion history, plus I think he's going to be playing a lot less than in miami.
boley produced, but isn't he still strong side?
he'll probably be on the field a lot, though.
basically, I think what you get in redraft leagues is a cheaper price than those guys -- if they're all on the wire I don't know that I'd rush to take mayo over the rest.

He'll be on par with Johnson and Peterson, but ahead of Thomas and Boley.
I'd rank them like this:
Johnson
Mayo
Peterson
Boley
Thomas
