Scoring system below (Football Guys scoring). Can only start one player per position. Current starting choice bolded.

These appear fairly clear cut to me, but the LB decision intrigues me enough to ask... I enjoy reading guys opinions here. Primarily interested if anyone likes Rivers matchup vs a 1st time starting rookie QB (Flacco) who is being forced into action when he should essentially be redshirting. That is, do you like it enough to supplant Vilma?

I believe the DL choice is even more evident, but I%m always willing to consider a contrarion opinion. Thanks in advance.

DL
Mario Williams (@ PIT)
Will Smith (TAM)
Chris Long (@ PHI)

LB
Jonathan Vilma (TAM)
Keith Rivers (@ BAL)

DB
Gibril Wilson (DEN)

It would me also. Cincy should see more tackle ops then New Orleans.

I like the players you bolded.

Well Rozelle, it looks like our hunch was right on. nerd.gif

In a game that saw considerably more tackle opportunity Rivers had a 10 tackle (9 solo) line compared to Vilma's 9 tackle (7 solo) line. I stuck with Vilma because it was certainly the safer play and if you factor in the lesser opportunity you could argue he actually had the better perfomance.

I'm in a dogfight this week and hopefully the slight difference doesn't come into play. On a positive note, Mario Williams with 6 solos, 2 sacks & 1 FF was the beast we all hoped he would be! thumbup1.gif
