I would like to know if there is a way to give us the option to Import only the league Rosters.

IT has become a pain in the butt to import the league every week after Waivers, etc..and set up the scoring rules again and again on Line Up Dominator. Specially leagues where the scoring does not import correctly (my case in 2 different leagues....) I wish we could leave the scoring alone on Line UP DOminator and only be able to import the Roster Update Changes for the week.

Great idea....I too hate to have to manually adjust the scoring rules every time I import the MFL league into LD after WW...

Hey Bruce - version "h" still does not import my leagues "defensive points against" scoring correctly, or at all. Not a really big issue at this point of the season. Something to look at for next year I suppose.

But the OP has a good suggestion. It would be great if we could select which criteria we want to import, or which criteria/data we do not want. I'm sure this is probably an issue for next year also but I thought I'd bring it up now. I would prefer to ignore all scoring criteria and bring in everything else.....rosters, player salaries, bid money available, everything except scoring parameters. I can do a lot of the player movement manually, but our commish manipulates and edits our balance sheet as waivers are processed because we still carry half of a players salary even if we drop them in a waiver move. This type of data is extremely difficult to manage on my own for every transaction that is processed, so I get this data with an import. Then I still need to edit and adjust the scoring parameters back to the way they were previously adjusted to. I know I'm just being lazy here, but this is something I was hoping you could look at for the future. I hope you can understand my rambling.

Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, I know you know it, but you ROCK! I love all of your applications and they are a big reason I'll be a loyal customer for years to come.

I took a peek at bringing in roosters only... but the problem is, is that the MFL Import builds the DD League File from scratch... so if you don't import the scoring system... it would be the default scoring system which wouldn't do you any good either.

One option would be if you select Rosters Only, it would prompt you for a DD League File to use for the base (league variables, team names, scoring, etc.). This might get a little tricky if the team names are in a different order, or if the league variables don't match up the same.

One manual method that would work is to import the MFL like you currently do, then open the file MFL Import created and your current DD League file in Notepad, and Copy / Paste the league variables and scoring sections from one to the other.

What about the hens?

This is what I currently do, then I just copy/paste league variables and scoring criteria from the existing file to the newly imported file while they are open (I give them slightly different names.) Don't need notepad to do this. Thanks for looking into it. I'll just have to be content doing it this way for the rest of the year, not a problem.

Rock on!
