I have been preparing for my draft in a keeper league this week. I entered my teams, the draft order, then laboriously input the keepers (up to 12 players a team...).

Just today, the draft order was revised so that the 4th team is now picking 1st (not important why). So how do I go about adjusting the draft/pick order in DD?

When I try to directly adjust the order under the "Pick Order" tab by using the pull down menus to re-order the teams, it only works for the first round. Since my draft is serpentine, I assumed I could hit the 'Serpentine' button and it would reorder the rest of the rounds for me.

But unfortunately, it simply resets the first round to the order that the teams are listed under "Team Names" in the DD Setup screen. And if I go and change the order of the teams under "Team Names", all it does is change the names, and does not take the keeper players along with it. In other words if team #1 is the Birdies and they have Peyton Manning as a Keeper, and team #2 is the Polcats who keep Priest Holmes, if I want to swap their Draft slots, and simply change the names, then the Birdies would then be #2 and have Holmes while the Polecats would be #1 with Manning. Does this make sense? It is easy to fix in this example, but try it with teams who can keep up to 12 players.....

What it boils down to is.....is there a way to switch the league draft order and not have to wipe out all the keepers and input them from scratch after I fix the draft order????

Actually I think Bruce just answered a very similar question by dauber under the heading "Serpentine Draft"....

The short of it is, it looks like I am screwed, and will have to redo ~100 keepers....

If you have a 100 keepers... I'd just adjust the Pick Order tab.

There is a quick way to do it... just use the Team Number column... Use the Down Arrow after entering each field. Anywhere you see a 1, type a 4, and visa versa... This goes really quick... a lot quicker than readding 100 keepers.

Then be sure to save you league when you are done. File->Save->League and give it a name. This way it will remember the new pick order.
