What?
Raiders are high on my list, Bowers and JPJ are Day 1 starters, not everyone can say that about their 1st and 2nd round selections.
JPJ will be a calming stabilizer on that OL, Bowers is going to help expand the playbook on offense.
I think the Raiders are having a great draft so far...
The Cardinals had 7 picks in the Top 90...
MHJr was a no brainer.
DRob/Edge
Max Melton, DB
Trey Benson, RB
Isaiah Adams, IOL
Tip Reiman, TE
Elijah Jones, DB #2 in the Draft for them
-I'm not sure a lot of these names are much higher than about 3rd/4th round grades after we move past...
I went over just about everybody we have competing on OL, Butch arrived in 2023
-Armstead was already pretty good, Connor Williams was great in '22 before he arrived, Austin Jackson finally started and finished a season at 1 spot-RT.
Isaiah Wynn was a 1st round pick by the Patriots in 2018...
I believe drafting Dejean and Jenkins at 8 and 43 was a much better plan for Atlanta vs what they did going QB and then reaching for a 3rd round grade DT vs Kris Jenkins who they could have selected. Dejean ends up going to Philly at #40 last night, major steal and not sure what other teams were...
Why do you keep beating this drum?
McDaniel helped with the '22 and '23 Drafts, now the '24 Draft...
Name 1 guy Miami/Grier/McD has drafted since he arrived that the team has coached up.
Channing Tindall, Cam Smith...I was pretty high when they drafted Achane but I don't think of that as...
1.26 Graham Barton, IOL and could play Guard or Center
A lot of folks liked him coming into the Draft, Bucs needed OL help, seems like a solid pick
Week 1 starter?
2.57 Chris Braswell, Edge
I was high on this guy, I wouldn't call him a steal but he has a lot of potential on this Bucs' D...
"High level Backup"
That's what is says at the bottom of that link.
They took a backup OL at 55...this is why Miami doesn't move up a level and win playoff games vs better teams.
Miami Dolphins received a "C-" on their selection of Paul according to CBS, that's hard to do. They give everyone an A or a B mostly
"It is a strange fit for them, Paul is one of the least mobile Tackles in the Draft"
I like the 2 selections by the Raiders, Minshew can dump a lot of balls to Brock Bowers
The addition of Jackson Powers at Center is going to anchor their OL the way Creed does for KC
Maybe FF folks might have preferred Bowers paired with a better starting QB but the Raiders are doing it right...
2.55 Patrick Paul, OT
Miami Dolphins
3rd-4th round grade, OL number 20 off the board or close to it, Miami has settled again
JPJ, Frasier, Dejean, every decent DT all went in the 10-15 picks ahead of them. It was painful to hear the names called from 40-54
Miami has not gotten better in the...
If Miami is thinking about IOL at 55 and they should be...why not trade up right now to secure Jackson Powers Johnson?
He is a legit 1st round grade at Center/Guard, he's got a lot of value right now on the board.
Miami took the 5th defensive player off the board but settled for the 4th rated...
