One of my buddies had a stray cat hanging around his porch. He certainly did not want this, as he has three daughters, and did not want them getting attached to the critter. Friendly cat, but his wife was allergic. So, I head to petsmart and purchase a collar and name tag. Proceed to engrave...
I guess I am confused. People replying in this thread keep referring to the rounds where a particular player was drafted. Now, i think I understand the concept of VBD. However, when someone poses the question about who the most valuable player in FF currently is, wouldnt that simply be...
Although we are not extremely religious in our family, we did send our daughters to a Catholic pre-school. Dropping her off one morning, she spied a crucifix on the wall. She said:
"Hey, why is that guy hangin on the plus sign?"
After a project where the class made a cross out of wooden...
Hey MOP. thanks for the quick reply. Not looking for anything specific, just always enjoyed reading your analysis. Draft coming up tomorrow anyway, so it is getting right down to the wire now anyway.
Oh yeah, prefer your old avatar too!
Ok, tried this over in the FFA first. Got a lot of quick replies, but mostly.....uninformative.
I have always looked forward to the player analysis provided by Ministry of Pain. Well-thought out, reasoned, nicely done.
Alas, I see none of those threads this year. As a matter of fact, I see...
Lose the round the player was originally drafted in. If the player is kept a second time, the round you lose moves up by one. Same thing in years 3 and 4.
The thought is that it is all about value. If you hit on a later round sleeper, then it may make more sense for you to keep that sleeper...
I thought about this as well. looked into getting the labels at Staples. they had some colored labels, but none big enough to work. Also, they were pretty pricey. More so than simply ordering premade draft labels. Looking online they are also difficult to find. Did find some here...
I used this schedule generator pointed out above. The only thing is, you need to move a few of the weeks around to get your division games in weeks 1-3. Not a big deal though.
The system sets up a double header week in week one, and has weeks 2-4 as division games. Simply move them around and...
Great idea, I do the same thing for my league. Might as well have the divisional games when all teams are the strongest.
Although my league is only 12 teams and not 14, I just use the schedule generator on this site, dump it into Excel, and move the weeks around to suit me.
The schedule comes...
As I stated in my post, clearly there are folks that have issues with Fanball. Not trying to defend Fanball, but I am certainly not jumping on the bandwagon to bash them. The site has always worked very well for me, and I have no complaints.I just thought it important to let it be known that not...
I have been commisioner of a league using the Fanball site for 4 years now. I must be the luckiest commisioner ever, because I have never had any issues with the site. I would even say I really like it. Simple to use, lots of options for league setup, many many things. I have never seen the...
