Not intending this to be a WDIS thread by any means, but rather a conversation starter where people can discuss their challenging decisions and provide insight into which way they are leaning and why...mine:
QB: Brady @ BAL -or- Kaepernick vs. ATL
Been rolling Brady every week, but @ Baltimore...
Jackson OUT for Week 12
I know there are a few threads out there on Jackson, but figured this news was worth a new thread.
Looks like Pittman will get another start against the Bears.
Not sure if anyone has played this before, stumbled upon it as my co-worker and I were looking for some 'interactive' game we could play online against each other. Been playing for a few days, you basically get points to boost player ratings, etc. Anyways, it probably won't win any graphics...
Got both in a 10 team roto league. Sat 'em both last time they faced off (where Wang went the distance), was wondering what the play is here...
Have Wang in the lineup right now, but could also hedge and start them both and hope for a pitcher's duel like last time. My ratios are pretty solid...
Had our auction draft last night, and I was able to snag Clay Buchholz at the end for $1 (10 teams, $260 cap, 5x5 roto).
I left some money on the table (not by design), and the Red Sox homer in my league has offered King Felix ($15) straight up for Buccholz.
Rest of my starting staff:
Johan...
Here's the way we do our keepers:
2 keepers for 2 years at auction purchase price
2 keepers for 1 year at auction purchase price
2 restricted players (they go back into the auction, but you can match their final bid price and keep them if you want).
23 roster spots, $260 cap, 5x5 roto
My...
Tankersley came in with the Marlins down tonight in a lefty/lefty matchup situation, and Gregg didn't pitch, so maybe he is getting the next save opp. Anyways, he's SP/RP in Yahoo and has decent numbers...getting saves from a guy with SP eligible is always $$. If you're looking for saves and...
10 team 5x5 roto. $260 cap.
Was offered:
BJ Upton ($5)
Troy Glaus ($14)
for
Fuentes ($7)
Brandon Phillips ($11)
-
Upton can be kept at $5 for 2008 and 2009 if I want.
We can start 4 closers, and I would be left with:
Borowski, Weathers, C. Cordero, Accardo, and Soria/Dotel
Upton would...
I have a surplus of closers (we can start 4, and I have 5 as well as Accardo), and one team in my league is down to one closer, so he's interested in making a deal.
Basically, he offered me Halladay for Ian Snell and Joe Borowski.
He also has Sabathia, who has a higher WHIP and slightly higher...
So far, he's been great and with Sheffield heating up it should only lead to more opportunities for RBI's. Anyone have some year end projections for this guy?
I'm thinking:
.300 avg, 100 runs, 26 HR, 115 RBI...
I have the opportunity to get him or Dunn in a deal and am leaning towards Maggs...
Another trade question, keeper league.
I have Holliday for $9 who will be a free agent after this year.
I have been offered:
Sizemore ($16, can be kept next year also)
for
Holliday and Francisco Liriano ($1, can be kept up to 2 more years for $1).
Should I do it? Sizemore would help me out...
10 team, 5x5 roto keeper league (kept Howard, Hafner, Santana, and Holliday - draft is auction).
My Roster
C Michael Barrett
1B Ryan Howard
2B Brandon Phillips
SS Hanley Ramirez
3B Mike Lowell
MI Ray Durham
CI Paul Konerko
OF Matt Holliday
OF Carl Crawford
OF Moises Alou
Util...
I have Ryan Howard ($16) as a keeper in a $260 cap 10 team, 5 x 5 roto league (23 man rosters).
I have been offered:
Mark Teixeira ($32) and Garrett Atkins ($3)
for
Howard ($16) and Beltre ($4)
-
I have the cap room to make this deal. Howard can be kept next year for $16, while Atkins can...
5x5, 10 team roto league.
Being offered:
Berkman, Rich Hill, and Saito
for
Konerko, Matt Cain, and Borowski.
-
Torn on this one because I think Berkman will outperform Konerko over the course of the year, and Borowski is a lot shakier than Saito at closer. Broxton is on another team so no...
Hey guys, I know there's been some discussion regarding auctions, strategies, etc. so I figured I would chime in with some results from our auction yesterday. It was the first auction draft for most of the guys, so take that into account accordingly. Mostly sharks in the league, but because most...
