Desperately hoping he has time to put out a DB tier article soon, but there have been so many injuries, I think he's had to spend a lot more time on those updates. But the tier articles are probably my favorite of the entire site.
There's been lots of discussion about the lack of developmental coaching, including on the Audible, if I'm not mistaken. Especially with the limited offseason work, coaches just don't have the time to work on players because they are primarily focused on figuring out who their lineup will be and...
Facing a tough matchup to stay in the playoff race. With Foster out, I'm looking at Blue, Hill or Jennings as my RB2. Which has the highest ceiling? And highest floor?
ETA: 1 per receiving first down (~1/3 PPR historically for RB's)
I have this worry too, especially in dynasty leagues. Reid just doesn't seem to put much premium on his TE's, and I suspect they'll be getting WR help in the draft next year.
McFadden is a FA next year, so even if they keep MJD, there's a decent chance that Murray becomes the primary backup. Of course they may bring in another RB, but if your bench is long enough, I'd consider hanging onto him until we find out the situation for next year.
I went with 7 this year in a 26-player roster with IDP (IDP are very low-scoring, however, so it's essentially a 20-player roster + 6 IDP streamers for me). Two top-12ish players, a low-floor/low-ceiling WR3, two upside WR4's, and a pair of late-round sleepers. Semi-guppy league, though, so I...
Although it's not a perfectly elegant solution, you could take the values from a standard redraft auction cheatsheet (using your scoring rules would be ideal, such as using the FBG apps) and just assign the QB1 price with your dynasty QB1, the QB2 price for the dynasty QB2, etc. It won't be...
Fantasy football is all about value. Calvin is awesome. He's not so awesome at 50% of your cap. Michael Floyd is intriguing. He's not intriguing as a 1st round keeper. Kenny Britt is a favorite in the hater column, but at $1, he might be one of your best values.
In short, think of your players...
I had a question about your placing Wesley Woodyard in the 1A (elite upside) category, when both Norton and Rudnicki have him projected 50+ (and Norton specifically lists him as an LB3/LB4 in his Eyes of the Guru). What do you see in him that makes you think he'll vault way up into this...
I'd actually amend the first to a rookie franchise QB. The new rookie salaries are a major boon to the team if they can come right out of the gate and perform at a high level because it gives them a lot more money to spend on the rest of the team. Whereas teams with the likes of Peyton or Brees...
That's fairly league dependent, to some extent.
In my keep-5 2QB league, for instance, the league average is around 80-85% (using the full "value" of players here, since many keepers are well below market value). I did some analysis a few years back and there was no real difference in success...
I just asked the same question on the Apps forum. This is the first year they've even mentioned they'd be doing it, so I'm hoping it finally happens. Been waiting 5 years on this request for the one league I'm in that doesn't ban commercial software. :football:
