Oh, I'm still here. Just kinda lurking. Been riding my Peloton bike more than anything lately.
Unrelated, my Bears are maybe the worst 3-0 team that I've ever seen. I hate to admit it, but it's really impressive what they're doing up there in Green Bay.
Honestly about as well as I could've expected. Ran the first 22 miles nice and easy with my friends, averaging 8:29 pace. Ran the rest on my own and averaged 7:32 pace for 9.1 miles, with the last mile being my fastest at 7:12. Averaged 135 HR for the whole thing. I really enjoyed the loop...
Assuming this guy is effectively the #3 receiving option in Denver behind a healthy Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant, and given that Denver doesn't figure to be a consistent offense juggernaut, is Jeudy still worth rostering in small leagues?
So this morning "I" mapped the route for the Fall 50 in October. Total elevation gain of almost 1,700 feet over the 50 miles including one 100-foot climb and five bigger ones at about 150 feet each.
Or as @SFBayDuck would call it, flat.
Doing a fatass 50K this Saturday, then...
I’ve never been able to BQ without “putting all the work in.”
For 2022, I’ll be 45, which means I get a 10-minute bump from 3:10 to 3:20 (assuming the current qualifying standards remain in place). That’ll make it significantly easier for me to qualify.
Mrs. and Mrs. @gianmarco both in good spirits and recovering. The better half did great through 17-18, and the rest was a true testament to the cruel mistress that is the marathon.
I'll defer to @SFBayDuck and @BassNBrew with regard to a lot of these questions, but as far as a training plan for a trail 50K is concerned, just train like you would for a marathon, but run on trails. It's only 5 extra miles, so there's really not much need to do things a whole lot differently.
"I" canceled my membership and have a decent little set-up in my basement. Treadmill and Peloton, bench, some Bowflex adjustable dummbells that go up to 52.5#, a couple of medicine balls, some resistance bands, and I installed a pull-up bar on my ceiling.
The only thing "I" really miss about...
He actually doesn't think it's broken. Ran 8 miles on it this morning with no real pain or discomfort. But it's definitely VERY bruised. The table leg won that battle, for sure.
