I think it's about time people start realizing that Michael Vick is the true MVP of the NFL, not "golden boys" like Drew Brees, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. After all the hate he's been undeservedly given over the years, it's nice to see him pick apart a guy like Manning that certain people...
I don't follow the Bears at all. I know that he took over a team that was mostly bad for the previous decade, got them into the playoffs in year 2 and to the Super Bowl in year 3. Mostly average results with subpar QBs since then. What does he do that makes Bears fans want to get rid of him?
1.01 Eli Manning - In the NFC Championship
1.04 Phillip Rivers - In the AFC Championship
1.11 Ben Roethlisberger - 2005 Super Bowl winning QB
1.22 J.P. Losman - Well, he tried at least.
At the time, I thought it was probably right to go for the TD. The Indy D hadn't stopped San Diego pretty much all game. But afterwards, it dawned on me that San Diego probably goes into conservative, run the ball up the middle and run the clock down mode. Nothing fancy, no passes unless its...
Pretty simple question here. Did Joe Gibbs have a successful return to the NFL? I'll preface this by saying Gibbs is my favorite all time NFL coach. I remember when his return was announced, it was largely panned by non Redskins fans. He's too old. The game has passed him by. I'm sure you...
Spice 1 - Welcome to the Ghetto
I've been listening to a lot of West Coast lately, and this is a good way to kick off this thread. Lots of similarities between this and 2Pac.
Spice 1 - 187 Proof
Before Mobb Deep's Drink Away the Pain, there was this song.
This thread is officially inspired...
It just really sunk in last night. I was listening to some old BDP and on I'm Still #1 when he's talking about there's no such thing as old school because rap's not even 20 years old so yet so it's still the new school. Then he said maybe after 50 years we can talk about old school. My...
All over talk radio and now Around the Horn they are talking about how Hall lost that game for them because of how many yards he gave up on penalties.
1) The big yardage came on a PI call when he got beat by Smith and saved a TD. Why is that wrong?
2) Next play he pushes Smith off the LOS...
I know it was chic to declare the Texans stupid for taking Williams over Bush last year. Figured I'd give it a few years to play out.
Stats YTD
Bush:
157 ATT, 581 yards, 3.7 YPA, 73 REC, 417 yards, 5.17 YPR 6 TDs
Mario:
28 tackles, 12 solo, 8.5 sacks
Ron Dayne:
155 ATT, 601 yards, 3.9...
Yes, this is inspired by CameraGate.
No, I am not saying the Pats actions should constitute a forfeiture of the season.
Curious what a team would have to do to be worthy of a season forfeiture (which is uncommon but happens in NCAA football)? And how would you implement it? Do you just tell...
So assume it looked like Heap stepped out of bounds. If he did, the game is over right there and accepting the penalty would actually hurt you. But the called play on the field was a TD. Can you ask for a review first and then decline the penalty if he is ruled out of bounds?
Jay Cutler 1-0
Jason Campbell 1-0
Matt Schaub 1-0
Vince Young 1-0
Tarvaris Jackson 1-0
Tony Romo 1-0
Matt Leinart 0-1 (PAC-10 = SPEED)
No, Garrard doesn't count.
SEC QBs had a good day.
I know it's only one week in, but when I think of the Miami offense this year it just seems like a mess.http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/cont..._fins_0802.html
You see players all the time that are still talented, but aren't what they once were, price themselves out of a good team. Maybe it's ego when a guy like Edge signs with Arizona and thinks he can turn them around. Or maybe it's just the Benjamins.
Although C-Pep is a little different. He...
