You still need threats to take away coverage and keep defenses honest. One would have to think the next pick is receiver which I think is actually good for Kincaid. I would not rule out a trade yet either, unless the Bill’s really think highly of the receivers that remain (which them trading...
I have no desire to add Worthy for FF purposes but I guarantee Reid will put him in positions to succeed and the pick certainly helps Mahomes. Two guys with speed zipping around, looking forward to seeing Mahomes uncorking the deep ball again.
I would love to nab Jackson-Powers Johnson in the 2nd but doubt he lasts. I do wonder if Detroit would burn the rest of their capital to grab one more impactful guy if he started to slide versus sitting tight and keeping the late rounders.
Even if that is the case you still can get 8-10 years out of the most important position in football. I like the strategy, although I admittedly do not have a great feel on Penix. If he develops into a good starter it will be worth the dice roll tenfold.
Doubt it, you can play two tight ends. They traded up to get Mayers and selected him early 2nd round, they would not see anything close to that in return. Bowers is more of a move tight end so they are vastly different in skill set. Brock will be moved around to find mismatches and Mayers will...
I agree 100%. This was a very unique opportunity in this draft with the top defensive players getting pushed down and having a big need on that side of the ball, glad we took advantage and added an impact player in our secondary. It thins us out a bit for the rest of the draft but I trust Holmes...
Love Pearsall, but surprised that he or Legette went first round. SF got a good football player though and probably planning on moving on from Deebo or Aiyuk after this season so they have to fill the cabinet.
I think the fact that you know what you’re getting versus the unknown is certainly a factor. Deep draft or not, none of these prospects have proven anything on the NFL field and there is no guarantee they reach a Aiyuk/Higgins level of play.
Lost in this debate is the fact that this is a hobby that is supposed to be fun. Getting young players with potential is part of that although there is not an exact formula to represent that value. Good luck with your trade, hope it enhances your experience.
Ultimately that is the optimal solution, especially when considering Purdy’s long term development. They showed great chemistry last year, but I just do not see SF paying what the market would dictate Aiyuk earning at this point. I hope they do as that is in his best FF interest IMO, we should...
This is going to be the most fascinating draft of all time. On top of the individual placement of draftees and possible trading of draft positions, there are multiple receivers looking for big contracts that could possibly be moved for the right price.
I predict he gets traded tomorrow. Not what is best for SF but I just do not seeing them opening up the treasure chest for him. Don’t think for a second that Shanahan doesn’t have the ego to think he can develop another Aiyuk. BA developed incredibly since his rookie season and was in the dog...
Any updated thoughts on this guy? Tyler Boyd is most likely gone, Tee possibly playing his last year with Cincy. Is Andrei a sneaky buy-low and hold a year for dynasty players? If they do not add anyone worthy in the draft will he take on the “Boyd” role?
