@SteelCurtain with two marathons in six days. La-di-dah'd his way to another metronome-like pacing performance in London.
I love how we're so used to him doing this, that it doesn't even get a mention. His #BMFery is just a typical Monday now!

Tried a faster run this morning (weather was perfect) and got a "+5" on my watch 1km into it. Figured that meant I'd improve my VO2Max on the run, but no such luck.
Boston Marathon Fun Run Report
Rather than focus on paces and times, I'm going to focus on experiences. I haven't been training -- rehabbing an ankle injury that I've not been rehabbing enough for almost a year now. So there was no PR in the cards, and honestly I thought 4 hours would be...
24 seconds feels like rounding error, and probably more than the time it took to recover from your crash. Many would have let the crash sabotage their race, and you used it to kick things up a notch. #BMF
Great race, and it will be incredible to see what you run when/if you embark on a...
Yup, just a fun-run for @SteelCurtain and me. I'm actually happy with the <4hr time. Told my wife to expect 4-5.
Experience was electric and incredible. By far the most energizing race (in terms of spectator energy) I've ever run. Not even close. Never got chills on a race like I did...
Wow. Incredible performance, and tough field. Do you find that it helps you to pace at all? Or is it immaterial?
Congrats. #BMF. You're just killing it over the last 18 months.
This sounds really awesome. So many things converging to make this the right choice. Very few have that put in front of them. You're going to love it.
Maybe find some local trails to hike (with spikes, I can recommend good ones) or snowshoe (no experience with this). Winter can be cold...
Thanks! This will be year three for me in the lottery. So probably still 2-3 more years of qualifying before I have a real shot.
Quick question for you -- I was thinking of running Canyons. How much of that course overlaps with WSER? Feels like it would be a good way to "practice" for the...
Hey guys, not going to do a full RR, but I tackled my WSER qualifier in about as ugly a fashion as possible over this past weekend.
Ran the "Tarawera TUM102" Ultra. The course was a revision from standard, so it was lengthened a bit to 105K, with a bit less elevation (2,600m). By the numbers...
Be sure to get the cpu/mobo/ram as a bundle (advertised on their website). It's a smokin deal and one of the reasons the build is so much cheaper there than elsewhere.
Nothing different with an AMD build vs Intel. Note that the CPU doesn't come with a heatsink at all, so don't try to build...
Here's what gets you in just under $1600 before tax:

If you have a Microcenter nearby, you can get that same build for $1360 before tax.
Going AMD here gets you the best bang-for-buck, assuming you don't game with Ray Tracing on (who does?).
For CPU...
