Another bittersweet moment for the fandom though (at least for me). He never lived up to the draft capital or what we hoped, but I think he has been a great ambassador to the city and really embraced his time. One of those I really hate to see go from a person perspective but, yes, the football...
I personally like the duet better, but I also like this song better than most Elton songs in general. Not seeing what's left, this ranking is well deserved, if not too low.
For me, How Long through Boogie On Reaggae Woman shows the awesomeness of the 70s. Cross-genre excellence (including peak country) that have stood the test of time. I'm not sure which I like best here, so I'll go with "yes".
First, I didn't know this was an Everly Brothers song, but imaging this version done that way doesn't work. That said, they were great songwriters. Second, this MAY have been the origins of the power rock ballad. Then again, I may be wrong. Either way, this is such great song and I wouldn't...
I've never visited, but in my mind nothing screams Germany like "John Denver sings 'Take Me Home, Country Road'". Hopefully they do this back to back with some Scorpions. I'll bet that combo really fires up a crowd.
Yeah, this one doesn't hold up as well as some others, but I don't think most of his music does. As to your last line, it depends on if you are a hopeless romantic or a jaded cynic. I think at this point in most of our lives, the lyrics MAY qualify as hilariously awful
Here's some bonus coverage of Call Me The Breeze with Cale and Clapton. I like how Clapton actually takes a backseat here.

By far my favorite Skynyrd song, and let's all applaud the musical genius of JJ Cale. Skynyrd took the original from JJ's standard bluesy awesomeness to this amazing tour d' force. Thanks Tim, time to put this on again and crank it up!
Man, I miss 70s music. Not saying it was the "best era" because people get caught up in their age some times. But going from ABBA, to Mott, to Rush, to Barry and realizing these are all great songs with REAL musicians and no autotune while crossing genres. What a time to be alive. This is a good...
I haven't looked that deep into the year, but I'm always hard pressed to place many above ABBA in their era. IMO, this one is still as catchy and fresh as it was back then.
As much as I enjoy these countdowns, I equally enjoy the tangents where I learn tidbits like these. I enjoy learning a bit of music history and how artist interweaved and where they came from. I have most of Kasey Kasem's countdowns memorized at this point. He was full of information, lol.
This is where I land. Depending on team construct/needs, I am thinking anywhere from 6-12/13. If you are in SF & TEP, I can't see him before Bowers and the big 3 WRs, so he's likely 7 at best. Then, he's polarizing to the community, someone will fall in love with a RB or 2 (because we do), you...
As I said, I wasn't involved, but this is where I was landing. But, I try not to judge too much. The team sending the picks has the 5th pick this year. Current results are not indicative of future success.
