The 100 Greatest Songs of 1974 #20. Fire

This has to be my least favorite Clapton song. The chorus was awful and it hasn't grown better with age. It's the one anomaly so far in a strong list.

The 100 Greatest Songs of 1974 #20. Fire

Unfortunately for me, Scott Joplin's soundtrack was so overplayed at that time, I still have a hard time listening to it. I enjoyed it before they played it to death.

FBG Movie Club - DotM: Denis Villeneuve

I thought that Prisoners was excellent. Tense, emotionally draining and a great cast. I really liked Arrival, too. I probably need to watch it a second time.

The ONE sporting event/moment you'll never forgive

What made it even worse was the pass play chosen. You never force a pass into the middle of the field on 2nd down with time for a couple plays left. A safe pass to the corner of the end zone where it can't get picked would have been forgivable. Worst play call I've ever seen in decades of the NFL.

    Jeopardy Baby, Ooooh-ooh-oooooh

Wow, if Troy could just answer a Final correctly, he would have won. 3 times his incorrect Final answer cost him the win. I really enjoyed the TOC this year.

    Jeopardy Baby, Ooooh-ooh-oooooh

I'm rooting for Troy, but he's missed 2 Final questions that would have already given him the championship. Congrats to Ben who bet perfectly yesterday. It's a very entertaining TOC with three great and likable players.

    European Trip Planning

We took the high speed train from Barcelona to Madrid last Spring - pretty easy to use. One good tip: we used the French high speed train (Oiugo) and it was about 1/2 the price of the Spanish train (Renfe). I don't remember if they were running a special at the time but it was a good deal. We...

    Top 250 Best Selling Rock Albums (1967 - 1981)

The Doors was my first album I got as a kid and still one of my all time favorites. Light My Fire would make my all time top 10 songs and the Crystal Ship is an underappreciated classic. But the White Album is not one of my favorite Beatle albums. Too much inferior filler like Rocky Racoon for...
